Bigger question, is does this have any impact on who they bring in at OC and what they pay them... they've just shown that they're willing to go to nearly 3M/season for a coordinator, and they need help at OC in the worst way.

As a lsu fan I am glad we have him, but it potentially sets a bad standard for pay.

What is sad is how the same people on here saying how stupid to pay that much for A DC , would be on here saying how bad LSU had failed by losing Aranda . Troll on Trolls .

I thought you knew football better than that TS. His defense finished number 12 in the nation with multiple injuries and multiple true freshman playing. Both the Barn and LSU were put on the spot by Guz and Dave and the Pocketbook folks stepped to the plate. You can bet those folks saw the downside of having to look for another coach was much worse than just paying Mo Money. I believe both made good decisions.
