Watching softball because there is nothing else to watch and this obstruction call is BS.

I hope this doesn’t filter into the game of baseball but the obstruction call in softball has gone to the extremes. I am watching the Ole Miss vs Texas Tech game and the Tech runner hits the ball to the pitcher. The Tech runner on 3rd base attempts to run home. Ole miss pitcher throws to the catcher who then runs the runner back to third. The catcher tosses the ball to the third baseman who has her foot on the home plate side of the third base bag but is standing inside the baseline, leaving an easy path to the bag. The Tech runner is a good 8 feet away from the bag and gets tagged out as she is diving back into the bag but is still a long way from the bag and when she does, the third baseman’s foot is no longer in front of the bag. Glasso calls for a replay and they reverse the out call due to obstruction. I have never seen something so outrageous in my life.
I have seen this called in a few of the LSU softball games and seemed to be a bad rule.

That is an awful rule. The player was out by a lot and she never hit the girls foot.

softball gods redeemed. UCLA walk off homer
I understand obstruction if the obstruction causes the runner to be out but she was out by a mile
