9-4 (5-3)

That's the height of your aspirations? At LSU, we're embarrassed by a 9-4 year.

Thankfully, for y'all, our season was 100% derailed by injuries and shite luck.

Coaching a game less than 24 hours after your mother passes is shite luck. Everything else is just football.

SU called a designed rush on 52-of-70 plays against Ole Miss Saturday, 46 of them inside the tackles. The Tigers gained almost 150 more yards on such plays than the Rebels had given up entering the week.

That's called getting your arse handed to you.

You can't be serious? "Oh hey, let me break apart two sentences so I can make it seem like he meant this."

We were #3 in the nation. We were right. Injuries happened. Tough break, but we could beat anyone in the country last year, when healthy.

and still only winning by three, at DV, at night, followed by a storming of the field. I'm proud of you guys for pulling the upset

New QB, new go-to WR, same shitty TE, new lead back...that's just the offense. It'll be a good, early season game. You should stop kidding yourself right now.

Under Saban, Alabama has broke in a new QB 3 times and went: 14-0, 12-1, and 11-2. Hell in 2008, JPW had barely over 2200 yards passing, had a 10-8 TD-INT ratio and Alabama went 12-2. There will be no Cooper, but don't act like there isn't talent all over at receiver. Be real, Alabama returns the majority of their defense, especially up front. You're breaking in a brand new QB, you have a banged up receiver with no other threat to compliment him, your running game sucks, the offensive line is shite, and Ole Miss hasn't won in Bryant Denny since 1988.

Ole Miss fricked.

HOLY frick

You literally just made my point, while not even knowing. Breakdown for you:

1. You said Ole Miss ended the season rough in its bowl game and it seems like a team figured out Freeze and they will decline next year because of it.

2. I said(sarcastically), Alabama ended the season getting thumped by Oklahoma.

3. You said, "I seem to remember that we were in the playoffs."

What does this mean? You said OM will decline next season because of their bowl performance, while saying Alabama made the playoffs the following season after their thumping.

What does this mean? Bowl game has no reflection on the following season.

Thank you for unintentionally proving my point, so now you can't spin.

This sounds like me being a dick, but I don't mean for it to. Nobody cares where you were ranked in October. On October 5th, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss were ranked 2, 3, and 3, respectively by the AP poll. None of those teams won their division, won their conference, or appeared in the inaugural playoff.

I feel for Treadwill and you were unquestionably a better team with him. If he doesn't get dragged down before the goal line, you beat Auburn and make a showing against Arkansas.

That being said, it didn't happen that way, and as a result, Ole Miss faded from the national scene.

Fact is, NC contenders don't get beat by 30 pts.

ABOUT. DAMN. TIME.

Someone finally bringing something logical to the table(outside of the Ole Miss WR part, that's false, but I'll let it slide). It's an early season game and both teams are breaking in some new guys on offense. Will be a fun one.

Hey, I completely agree, but what I'm saying is hand-in-hand with what you're saying. We said pre-season we have to avoid any injuries to make it where we can go.

Me saying the #3 part is a representation of how good our team was, minus injuries. It sucks, but it's part of the game. Nutt left us with nothing. Why do you think OM fans are so confident? We return nearly every contributor while continuing to add depth. Hell, we had to process players this offseason. I didn't even know what that felt like until a month ago.

LSU is the only team that beat Ole Miss this year(excluding bowl game because we wouldn't have played TCU). Like you said, if Treadwell doesn't snap his leg, we win and we keep rolling. It's rare a couple of injuries can completely change a team, but we knew that was our position.

I'll disagree here. We made a NYE6 bowl game after losing 3 of our last 5 SEC games and we'll be pre-ranked in the Top 10-15.

I think a large part of it also was a result of giving the media darlings their only conference loss of the season, but that's neither here nor there.

As an LSU fan, I can see one glaring position where there is no returning contributor. The fact that there is no heir apparent is enough for me to pump the brakes on OM.

Eh. Treadwell is good, but he doesn't have a +/- 30 point effect on the spread.

Fair enough, but Kelly comes in with a lot more promise than Wallace came in with...with a lot better supporting cast. We'll see though.

Agreed. I'm speaking more on the, "with only one loss to LSU, we are two games from winning the West" mentality. The "swagger" of our team would have been 100% different.

And you are not in the same boat bubba? I mean I saw absolutely nothing from your 2 QBs last year that leads me to believe that LSU is posed to be a juggernaut next year or the year after.
