No you don't. Get real.

The truth is that Ole Miss has improved significantly over the last few years, and you have reason to be excited. The "new reality" may well be that Ole Miss is competing with the top of the SEC West and going to major bowls. But there is a difference between a national championship caliber team and a team that is good enough to play tough with national championship teams and even win once in a while against them.

Ole Miss lost their best WR and collapsed. Ohio State lost their Heisman frontrunner QB, and then his backup, and still won it all. Take a serious look at the depth difference, and it will become clear to you why Ohio State has won multiple national titles while Ole Miss has knocked off a contender here and there.

We are recruiting White as a LB. We'll be depleted after this season.

Likewise. If Beckwith goes pro early, LSU's returning LB corps will be Clifton Garrett and whoever we can sign this year.

So I'll trade you the OT for the LB. Somebody's gotta keep Patterson upright, amirite?

You don't think OM was excited to play in their first NYE6 bowl since... Who knows when?

I thought we would be. It was easy to see how flat we were. Sucks. Spent a lot of money to make that trip.

Deal!!!! LBs aren't that important in our defensive scheme, so I'll definitely take Allen

Makes no sense. You ended the season on a high note, knocking MSST out of playoff contention in the Egg Bowl... And got destroyed.

Unless, of course, TCU belonged in the playoffs all along and were hopping mad.

You sound so dumb here. Name another NC team that lost two Heisman caliber QBs, only to replace with a just as good 3rd string QB? Drawing blanks? Shitty example. Had Sims gone down, so would have Bama.

that sure as hell didn't help. That game was very similar to OM vs Texas Tech in 08.

Shitty example, but not a shitty premise.

2007 LSU - Flynn gets knocked out against Arkansas and Perrilloux earns MVP honors in the SEC Championship.

2011 LSU - Jefferson is suspended the first 4 games of the season and we curbstomp Oregon and Wet Virginia without him.

It's not confined to the QB position, either.

Absolutely, but in regards to Ole Miss, when you have a bad OL coming into the season with no depth, have 3 starters injured, your #1/#2 WR's out for the rest of the year, there is nothing anyone can do. Mariotta could have been our QB against TCU and the results would have been the same. People don't realize how injured we were and how thin our depth was.

And before anything is said, Freeze just signed his fourth recruiting class, so there is no more depth excuse going into this season.

As I dont follow Rebel recruitn all that closely, all I can look at are rankings, so excuse my French, but Hugh's classes, aside from 2013, appear on paper to resemble Nutt's classes.

In what aspect(s)?

Problem with Nutt was he took these high rated guys last minute that were risks. All ended up getting kicked off or leaving. At the time, it was great, because you thought Nutt had been working the back door and beating these schools last minute, when in reality, no one wanted him and it took one visit from Nutt's lazy arse to get them to sign.

Can't see picture, but 7 wins -> 8 wins -> 9 wins = on the up, dumbass. You can't dispute that.

Alright, that's fair.

It really is too bad that Hugh couldn't get a Patterson or Kelly in 2013. Seems like by the time the new guy comes into his own, the Landsharks will be moving on.

Okay. Your best team in 20 years and you can't win the conference. It's good you keep hoping. I'm sure the university appreciates you purchasing all those tickets with daddy's money.
