Mike Price never got to coach a game.

I think that's the standard you're going to have to beat

The issue is not not how quickly or slowly he was fired, but where and how. He was fired immediately after the game as he left the field. The only reason the football universe can come up with for this action was to embarrass him. If that was the case, it worked.

What would it have hurt to fire him later tonight or tomorrow morning? It's not like waiting a few hours is going to hurt the search for a new coach; however, it would have allowed BB to leave without embarrassing him and making Arkansas look impetuous.

It's just bad optics.

He was able to meet with the entire team doing it this way, otherwise it wasn't possible.

The team was about to scatter for the remainder of the holiday weekend and he wasn't never going to be allowed to recruit on Sunday and then be fired Monday. It really was the only possible timing to allow him to say farewell to this team.
