What?

UF didn't beat Tenn by 100, so now UF isn't as good as previously though per this board.

Que?

McElroy looked bad in the first half so Bama's QB situation is in trouble. Again, according to this board.

Huh?

I don't think I need to explain this one. Just, you know...read this board.

To summarize: that post was tongue in cheek

They played poorly. Couldn't handle the spotlight. That being said, they'll still be a tough game later this year.

Exposed like a USC Song Girl.

To address some (emphasis on "some") Ranters here, can y'all imagine the reaction if J. Jefferson went 7 for 21 for 109 yds. (with 40 of those on one TD pass)? Even if LSU WON the game?

Oh, the humanity!

Thanks, Dribble, for your updated SI cover. Surprised that I haven't heard too much about the "jinx."
Probably 'cos most victims of that curse (and the Madden jinx) are actually really good or great before it happens. Neither applies to OL'-La-La Missed, as we all saw last night.
Also, all the endless banter about the team's flu woes drowned out everything else. I don't wish illness or injuries on any team--unless it's 'Bama (kidding)--but this stuff happens & ya gotta roll with it.

Heck, no one ever mentions how LSU's schedule last yr. was fractured by Hurricane Gustav (2 byes in four weeks, re-scheduling non-SEC games to the end of the season, etc.).

This was NOT the reason or excuse that LSU had such a poor season. But it sure didn't help, 'cos having lost so many players from the national champ. team and not being able to replace them, losing Bo Pellini, enduring that awesome Jarrett Lee Experience gave LSU absolutely zero margin for error.

I know Ala. and LSU fans are elated for Ole Moss. tohave lost an SEC game, but the SEC West title goes through 'Bama & LSU (and maybe Auburn), & while I should hope your team loses at Miss. on 10/10, I'm not. I want this deal to be decided when we play you guys, period. You gotta beat the best to be the best, so let's prove it on the field (when both teams are healthy, as well).

Accordingly, will you please beat the living dog-crap out of those Nutt-cases, and we can have ample time to endlessly homer and smack-talk for our respective schools later on?

Thanks in advance.

This game just tells me they have a lot to work to do or they might be in for a very long season, one they didn't think would happen.

Overrated... if you supposedly have a top flight quarterback and good talent at wr, you gotta put up more than 10 points. South Carolina's defense isn't bad, but jeez they aren't that good.

we were absolutely overrated. any ole miss fan that said we belonged in the top 5 was delusional. I'm obviously upset that we lost, but I thought at the beginning of the season we could lose this one. our season is not lost... but we are gonna have to play a helluva lot better offensively if we want to play in a new years day bowl.. much less go to atl. bama should win the west without question IMO.

Other than the sheer hatred most LSU fans have for Ole Miss....Why does have to be about them beig overated. I think USCe is underrated. Their only loss came in a shootout with UGA. I do think Ole Miss was a little overrated also but lets not take away that USCe played great D.

It's the SEC. Ole Miss is a good football team, but it goes to show what a good defense can do at home. Ole Miss will be hard to beat at home.

So far, we've been overrated. That being said, I really don't expected Snead to all of a sudden be bad after what I saw from him last year. I'm not worried about Snead. I'm more concerned about the LT. One Snead figures it out (which he will) and the OL straightens up, we'll be able to ride that with our D. We played about as bad as possible on offense and almost beat USC on the road. I'm disappointed we lost, but not discouraged.

heh...at SI Jinx.

They've got Bama at #8. Five teams ahead of Bama already have a loss. Including that overrated Va Tech.
