Yeah, I like it. Also like the 5-yd. markers.

Hey, Doc. Didn't know if you saw my apology on that Spring Game thread from yesterday. It's:

This one is so magical, huh?

Who said that? I can't place it and it's driving me nuts.

BTW, I do understand what you're talking about, but I'm vexed in trying to fully realize what they gain for their joyless attitudes and claim to be real fans of LSU football. Anyway, I learned long ago that this is a great site, but that no good thread goes unpunished at TD.com.
Thanks very much!

Eh, that probably came off worse than I meant it to be. You seem to be relatively new here. Just learn to roll with the punches and everything will be alright.

Damn! There goes my "physician, heal thyself" reply...
No, it's all good. I apologize and I take back my insulting comments directed to you. I was surprised because I respect your views and assertions and usually agree with you. I would, however, like to transfer those comments to deserving recipients: "StreetDiction" and our esteemed partner in grime, "WestCoastTigah." Check out the epic thread that dude started, ranting about Gen. Richard/TAF/and firing coaches, and quickly and inexplicably somehow goes sideways and morphs into a sub-thread about M. Flynn's talent as an LSU QB. For your review and torment, here's the link: LINK

Appreciate your pep-talk and advice, but I've been a member for about six months (and lurked for about a year before that when my brother was a Ranter). I'm certain I've been here much longer than pricks such "StreetDickion" (joined Dec. 2009), "LeftCoastTigger," (who came aboard 24 hours after National Signing Day less than 2 weeks ago) and "ElCalTiger," who popped his cherry in this thread.

Look, there's nothing that these real jerks on the Rant can do to raise my temperature or blood pressure. Nothing. I really did like the photo display about CROWTON, though we all know damn well that 90 percent of us would have posted, "someone's got way too much time on their hands." I'm secure in my own skin and learned early and often they're are enough miserable "fans" that exist only to spread their misery to others. You can provide a link, or post something that many people didn't see or have time to wade through 15 pages to find it, and some a-hole instantly replies with: "germans." It's harmless and amusing, but these are the same children who also believe they somehow crush other Ranters by "calling them out," and this, from StreetFriction: "bump, in case anyone missed that awesome picture beatdown," or "getting owned." Please, give me a break.

Well, as I wrote in that other thread, glad I didn't get our favorite OC's name wrong in my "real" writing. On the bright side, it could've been worse--imagine if I had mangled Coach Mills' name...

No it's not. No matter what you say in an attempt to support your opinions (and you may end up being right or close to it), this is just a prediction. THIS season (2010) is almost 6 months away, which means nothing's happened yet. You do understand that, right? So, no "facts" yet.

Or YOU could heed your own advice and "consistently" spell "CONSISTENTLY" correctly.

Hey, hate to break up your JJ hate-fest, but are you allergic to the dictionary? Where are you, Doc? I was writing "Crowden" for some time, and he caught it. (I'm lucky I had the correct spelling in the customized "spell-check" in my articles for which I actually get paid...)

But man, if you're gonna question Jefferson's academic progress, especially since he's an African-American QB, man-up and look over your posts just a little maybe? Anyways...

Jefferson is not a good runner when it's a set play, but when he improvises, he is very good.

I'm glad you guys aren't as weary of the old "canned hunt" QB questions as I am...
Yeah, when they roll him out and nothing's there, he's very good at running to the edges and past the 1st-down marker (avoiding contact, as well). But when his line betrays him and he stays in the pocket too long, only bad things can happen (though his INT total is relatively low). That's when the sacks and occasional int. grounding calls happen.

Let's face it, I don't think even M. Vick in his prime could bust LSU's version of the option (to the short side), plus he got hammered when he ran it straight up. Also, as you guys well know, there are such things as coverage sacks. I'm fairly confident if he has an improved OL, a sound running game to balance the offense, Shepard playing a P. Harvin role and if TT and Randle are mid- to deep-threats and passes to TEs sneak back into the playbook, it will be much easier to work on his mechanics. Who knows, maybe he could run a designed QB draw, but he'll have to learn to slide.

The Spring game will be good to see what they're really working on. Also, I want to see him generate and show more intensity and be fired-up, animated or whatever. When you have true leadership and confidence in your QB and he's making plays, it usually produces positive results from your teammates, right? Lots of things have to improve, but they do have a lot of talent and about six months to do it.

So JJ was assumed to be somewhat of a running QB, he doesnt see him run the option very well, nor does he even run the ball effectively. Well what about a passing QB? His long release and unawareness of pocket pressure, dont seem to give him justice there. So what type is he? can he win a championship?

Why do you even bother posting this? First you say he can't run, then "ask" if he can pass and then answer your own question, followed by another, and then you want to know if he can win "a championship?" BTW, which "championship" are you "asking" about? Also, if the guy (or any QB) really can't run or pass, why in the heck would he even be playing?

Just once, I wish a thread would start like this:
"Will JJ be an effective running and/or passing QB this season, with a re-vamped OL and many talented but young skill-position players? Or do you think he won't be able to improve as a passing or running QB? If he can't, who would replace JJ as starting QB, and could that guy win a "championship?"
E. S. Ware (w/Murphy close behind, assuming he's healthy by week one).
