I haven’t witnessed UGA win as a fan because I was a Gator fan as a child. Became a GA fan when I became a UGA student. As a kid I witnessed a lot of whippings of my gators by GA. I also followed FL long enough to know apart from some outside help, the Gators wouldn’t have had a chance to play for theMNC in 96, 06, or 08 because they had a loss in each of those seasons. But because the NC is subject to what other teams around the country do they had the opportunity to play for it. Meanwhile, the 02 UGA team who were 1 loss conference champions did not nor did the 2004 undefeated Auburn team.
You don’t have to deal with those justification acrobatics within the conference. Go tell Spurrier he accomplished anything in 1990 when he helped Florida to their first uncontested SECC. I suspected you’d have gotten a preachers kid cussing.

Well Gary since your disinterested in critical thought, what your left with as a Florida fan is the reality that you have never and will never have a winning record vs GA nor witness a year in which Florida didn’t lose to somebody. In 107 years of football UF has never had an undefeated untied season. And congrats, youve already met the criteria in 2021. You can celebrate that ride along with your wins over south Florida and Florida Atlantic.

Well I didn’t…but UGA certainly agreed to the playoff structure. My contention is that’s it’s not an objective standard.
The current system is better than the BCS and def better than the bowl selection method.

Hahira, applied to UF….these are courageous guesses Gary, but patently misguided which looks to be a theme here.
I remember 1980….though barely and one of the things I recall is that team had no losses.
But to be fair I’m also not super crisp on 2008, the time Florida won it’s own conference which is a little surprising bc these are the same bad dudes that only lost to Bama by 2 and blew out SFL and FAU by like 40 points combined.
