Bryant's so called shortcomings have to be looked at with the rule book of the time in place, not today's. many of the things they did back then would be a violation in 2009. But EVERYONE had the same rulebook. Besides, his "dark deeds" fall far short of other well-known coaches transgressions:

He is the reason you can't have the dual sport scholarships. If a guy is an awesome Basketball player and plays football too, then said guy is on a football scholarship. The Bear was signing guys to the basketball, track or whatever sport scholarships then suiting them up for football. Cheater? I would say no.

Im not the one who said to lt it go he has been dead for decades a bama fan did. From the looks of it Bama fans have not let it go from all the houndstooth outfits. But your right maybe we can alldress up like midgits this weekend to dedicate our 03 NC to Nick Saban or we can wear a tall white LSU cap to the game to dedicate Les Miles.
