Since there were zero cupcakes that year and the SEC has the rep for being the toughest conference...I'd say all those beatdowns are enough to say yes.

Unless of course you think Tuscaloosa is covered by a giant bubble and was the only city in the world unaffected by the Wu flu?

Thank you, 49 to nada.

No sisters of the poor to pad the stats. No school for the blind to hide behind to declare we're the greatest.

10 SEC games in a row and then another SEC team in the SECCG. That's 11 straight wins against SEC teams to win the conference and make the playoffs and BAMA went undefeated. They went on to destroy Notre Dame and an outstanding Ohio State team for the NC with Justin Fields.

Only ALABAMA has beaten 13 straight power 5 teams in a row to win a championship.
BAMA produced the Heisman winner in DeVonta Smith and the Doak Walker winner in Najee Harris.

It will never be duplicated again. Simply the greatest of all time.

Great response, Bamameister. Here is a full listing of all their achievements.

Honestly I doubt that they are even Saban's best team. One of the best receiver rooms though for sure.

I just don't understand the insistence upon bragging about beating teams that missed practice, missed installation periods for new coaches, played partial schedules etc. In no universe is it comparable to other seasons.

Why couldn't any other teams do as well as Alabama did? Not one single player on Michigan's team ever had Covid during the playing season but, after losing 4 of 6 games, they just said frick it and quit the season and never played another game.

Other teams just didn't have what the great communicator Les Miles liked to call "CHEST", I suppose.

I feel like 2020 highlighted Bama's grit and determination that have made them, over the decades, the best team to ever set foot on a college football field.

Due to being weak, simple-minded, and delicate, many teams prostrated themselves like bitches instead of getting tough when the going got hard.

Bama 2020 truly was the best ever. You will see that if you can overcome your mindless prejudices and let the hate flow away.

NNNOOOOOOOOO!!

It's really gonna rip at every ones soul that LSU was the GREATEST EVER in 2019. Any other team and everyone could've accepted it a lil better, but being it was us...

2020 was a hell of a season for y'all but there's NO denying the issues the pandemic had on everyone

No, the Florida game was 52-46, so only a margin of 6 points.

It's still 95 Nebraska.

Yeah, nothing says easy like a 10 game SEC schedule(11 counting the SECCG).

What really would have made the 2020 season legit was adding in some G5 cupcakes and a FCS rent a win.

2019 LSU as the GOAT is a joke. There are 2 sides of the ball, not just 1.

Your defense was shite, and that is why you barely won multiple games.

Shiny hook there, mister.

This. That Bama team was cold, but it's difficult to label them best ever. 2020 Alabama vs 2019 LSU would have been a phenomenal game, I don't think they'd be able to stop our offense though.

Funny. Seems I remember that by the time LSU got off to a 2-3 start that year, their fans rushed to assure everyone that the whole season didn't count. For anyone.

It wasn’t just LSU that did that, and it wasn’t just after the 5th game. No one thought it counted before, during, or after the season; to this day, all that anyone remembers is cardboard cutouts and female kickers.

More a case of teams scoring a touchdown right at the end to make the score look closer than actually barely winning a game.

I believe all teams are great in their own way. It's more important to appreciate the efforts of these fine young men for their dedication and hard work.

Big Ten played only 6 games that year.

95 Nebraska's closest margin of victory was 14.

You can fit 3 LSU games within that margin of victory.

3 point win vs 9-4 Auburn
5 point win vs 11-2 Alabama
7 point win vs 8-5 Texas

That is not the sign of the GOAT.

Well, that's a lie. Not a single of the 3 games I mentioned went into garbage time.

But even if it was true, it doesn't matter. The bottom line is - you were scored on.

Who gives a frick what that spaz has to say about anything?

If Mike Greenberg is the best you can do, then you have no case at all.
