OU will get their shite together.

In the long term, a good OU is good for football.

But I used to always think that about Arkansas, and they ain't been nothing for decades. So I dunno.

And then there's Nebraska.

Under Riley we lose that game. With defense that will keep us in all games. Bland offense and too many injured players (some held out as precaution). QB made some bad decisions and had some good passes dropped. Didn’t try to run much due to oline health.

We knew it would take time and with this schedule we don’t much of that (time). We are determined not to give too many plays away. Last year vs tx it was a different team than the prior weeks.

But the O needs to get going. On the D they have 8 turnovers on the year and shoulda had 9 if not for a bad call. Got a safety. And played a lot of rotation/youngsters. In 5 years we’ve done a 180 O/D. If Baker/Kyler/Hurts had this defense we have a few titles out of them.

Fans are so used to O being so great its a shock when its flipping to D being better and they overlook that.

We’ll have some growing pains with a young QB. But look at Ducks, Gabriel has thrown lights in on stat sheet but yet they struggle because he can’t throw deep. Teams are using that to move players up. Thats why he left, he was really good and a great person. Bit he had his ceiling. Jackson is young and has a higher one. And if he fails Hawkins is another who will be good.

Can we get past injuries and O woes in time to get 9 wins and an outside chance of playoffs? Not likely, but its football season and I love it.

Its been a combo of injuries on the O line and receiving corp, which was considered a strength going into the season , Jackson Arnold not finding his way (yet) , and imo, offensive play calling that has lacked creativity. The one positive has been the defense.

I'll be okay if OU wanders the desert for 40 years.

You guys will have to help us figure out how to do that.

turns out a new oc, new qb, and a whole new offensive line is not a recipe for early season success

Minus the weak OL, we here at LSU agree to the rest.

If you watched Tulane play KSU, you better hope they're all back this weekend.

Two of our starting WRs are gone for the year so that's not accurate. Another starting WR has yet to make an appearance in any game yet this year. Our starting RT tried to return for this game and was visibly unable to play and in pain. We're on our 3rd string Center. Our LG has a torn labrum.

Roughly half our starting offense we expected to start the season with is currently on the sidelines hanging out together in the boo-boo tent watching the world go by.

Under Riley, you don't have a bland offense.

Yah but all the OL that are hurt aren’t big injuries. Yall will be full strength by Texas. Farooq will be back

Bland offense and wins are better than flashy/fun offenses and losses. Which is what we had become under Riley.

And what did that ever get us? Probably had the best offensive talent over 3-4 years combined and no natties.

You never saw the games Riley would choke away in 2nd half and let teams back in. Our defense was all that held us back too. Now its flipped. And so many fans are going to need to get used to closer games instead of scoring so fast your defense is on field so long, and can’t stop teams either.

Now we have a young offense with raw oline and many key players hurt. No matter who your qb is, thats going to take time to work thru until healthy players return. I don’t care who you are but take these positions away on any team - throw in a new QB and OC - and you will have some struggles

Unlikely. They’re not in the B12 anymore.
