The financial consideration would have to be considerable, that’s why I think those things would be hashed out way in advance. No one‘s gonna throw the brakes on a contract for $700,000 (I’ll use that because we are primarily discussing higher and elite recruits) For one for $800,000 on the promise of “if you don’t sign tomorrow, I promise I will put this deal together for you” from a coach on a cell phone
Now offer that same kid 1.5 and you’ll have a kid through the brakes and postpone signing. But I don’t see that happening, if you see a high value target out there and you think he’s worth double what you know his family’s lawyers are in the process of reviewing you offer it before the last 2nd/the night before signing day
