I can't seem to get these fools to understand this. Pure fluff piece in a slow sports cycle. Show that piece to actual journalists and they would tear it apart.
Then again, these same fools thought the NCAA was gonna hit LSU hard over the Hicks situation.

If LSu gets sanctioned for this we should sue the NCAA because there is no evidence that the 6K went to anything else besides these tapes. Honeslt if some of the tapes are footage of Mett playing then obviously that what we wanted and what we payed for, so 6K well spent.

Again, what has LSU done wrong here? What are the allegations? They can't even make allegations. With the Cam thing, the allegations were that he got paid to attend Auburn. I am still waiting to even hear what the allegations are for LSU based on anything that could have actually happened.
Willie Lyles influenced players to go to LSU? How do they know that? Is that an allegation or just speculation based on their imaginations?
Feel ya pain bruh. IMO, LSU coaches are no fools. According to Lyles, he went on recruiting visits with LSU coaches, so they know Lyles on a personal level.
He is a one man business. How can one expect this one man company to have the resources/time to it takes to compile info on JUCO recruits in Cali and Kansas when he lives in Texas?
LSU coaches know this, they're no fools
What violations were broken? I have no idea.

Since WDE's thread got whacked and I was trying to make a point...
This isnt looking good for the SEC. If anything comes of this, which I hope it doesnt, add it to the complete public indictment of Auburn (whether they are found guilty or not), the textbook scandal at Alabama (that regularly gets blown out of proportion) and Kiffen/Pearl-Gate at Tenn and the rest of the country is going to have plenty of ammunition to fire at us in the media to make us into the SWC 2.0

I don't know about that. Oregon, UNC, GT, OSU, USC, Boise State all have their issues with the NCAA as well. I don't think the SEC can be singled out beyond being bigger and better as usual.
ETA: I find this article interesting (though certainly no smoking gun on LSU) because it raises more questions about what LSU was paying Lyles for. It seems as if Lyles just compiled information (mostly illegally and most of it outdated or irrelevant) from the internet and sent it to these schools.
I tend to believe schools like LSU, Oregon, etc. are savvy enough not to get hustled that easily, but I could be wrong.

They are. They're not paying 6,000 dollars to this scumbag for his shitty recruitment videos. They could get that on rivals for thirty bucks a month. They're paying him, essentially, not to bad mouth them to possible recruits. However, it still looks pretty bad.

This is true, but we are the hated conference right now. That alone is incentive enough to spin it anyway they can.

This is why "handlers" need to be eliminated altogether. At this point, you arent paying them to buy a recruit, you're just paying them to allow you a fair shot.
