Perkins and Relf also had alot of carries which took a load of ballard, not like he was the only guy we had running the ball.

Pretty impressive IMO.

Reminds me of Stephen Ridley

My post was aimed more at the guy who was claiming Ballard should be included in the heisman race because of his stats. I wasn't saying Ballard was a bad RB, just that he isn't a heisman level RB.

And 23 TD's in 14 games is awesome

Can't talk shite about Ballard for doing what he is supposed to. Sure he puts up big numbers against joker teams, but he can't help who he plays against.

Ballard is a very good back.

I say pump the brakes on any Heisman talk.

But my question is. What did James from Oregon do against LSU and Auburn? Hint Not Good

So, he should be not considered either since his stats were against lower teams.

It works boths way.

Good point.. .and Oregon plays alot more crappy teams than SEC teams do. Ballard could probably have close to the same stats if he played Oregon's schedule.

That's what I'm saying. Every team plays lesser teams at one point in their schedule. The running back still has to go out in those games and put up numbers.
