What really messes things up is the silly Group of 5 automatic bid.
I know it would chap folks, but go down to 4 sixteen team conferences and that’s your playoff pool. 4 conference champs, 8 at large. I’d be fine reducing the numbers to 10 even.
If the g5 wants to do a BCS style championship that would be good too.

Getting 6 teams in the playoff when there are only 7 at large bids is just not going to happen.
It really does suck for Vandy that so many teams did well this year in the conference. Any other year 10-2 would be in the playoffs.

It's a good thing Vandy didn't make it to Playoffs. Everyone in the stadium would have to worry about their cars being jacked by the Pavia family hoodlums.
