I think any reasonable organization should allow people accused of such things to have an attorney present. But not because of the 'Constitution and shite' in this case. The Constitution literally say nothing about the right to an attorney in a college disciplinary hearing. Not a word. This is the same sort of misapprehension that leads to people claiming their First Amendment rights are being violated when a private message board deletes them.

If she is so utterly unskilled for the job...as the letter makes clear...how in the hell was she ever hired, and why doesn't he catch more grief for hiring her?
What percentage of this is bad job performance, and what percentage is politics?

Because they're fighting a PR war, not making a business decision. She may or may not have deserved termination, but, as I said, they've made it very clear that this decision involved a lot of personal antagonism on their part.

It is, however, a Tennessee state law that the accused can have counsel present during a college disciplinary hearing. So, sort of constitution and shite, not US Constitution, but I was in the ballpark.
Anyway, I think we're on the same page here.
