Why not? You're going to burn whatever coach steps in there. It's like a throwaway card. Someone to bridge the gap until the sanctions are over and then you try to hire a real coach again.

Pretty much.

I don't see any respectable college coach even picking up the phone from them given the shitstorm the NCAA is about to rain down on them.

No one wants to be the next Al Golden who takes the job and then finds out the penalties are far worse than he had been lead to believe.

Not after the NCAA slaps a "show just cause" penalty on Freeze. He's done for at least five years, probably more. He'll be back coaching high school football before you know it.

Nah, when all is said and done, he'll be as radioactive as Briles.

Dooley just looks like a guy who'd be part of Ole Miss. That empty-eyed dumb-look and gay-face grin.

Dooley may not be much of a coach, but he is a more intelligent guy than the average coach out there. Probably has difficulty relating to most people and he comes across awkwardly as a result.

I would kind of like him being back in the SEC.

Me too. But that is because he is one of the laziest head football coaches of all time.

If the gambling rumors are true then he's done. He won't even coach HS anymore.
