that PR stunt about being sick was about as bad as telling a recruit he had a dream about god telling him....he will burn in hell for his lies

It's amazing what people will believe without one shred of evidence. From Sharrif's mouth:

"That never came out of my mouth, and never came out of his mouth," said Floyd, who made a point of tracking down the source of the rumor."

Before you post, "YOU JUST DON'T WANT TO FACE URBZZ1!!11", let me save you some time. He is beatable, as seen in Dec '09. He is losing the "Chosen One" and the bulk of his bad arse D. I don't care one way or another...I just think it is foolish to say that, irrefutably, he will be back.

I never said that first off, and second off, all we can do is go by what he's saying. At the moment, he plans on coaching Florida in '10. At this point, my post looks less foolish than yours because I'm stating facts directly from his mouth.

You're completely right. All you can go on is what he has said. So when he said he was hanging it up..you have to believe that. Then 48 hrs later when he said he wasn't hanging it up..you have to believe that.

Word of advice. Trust everyone, but cut the damn deck.

USC did great today as well. Too bad no one will see them play once the TV and Bowl ban is handing down.

You do realize he's coaching next year right?

Yeah that's what he said.

But he also said he was quitting.

Which should we believe?

No matter how you cut it, it was pretty shady. All kinds of excuses and crap were being thrown around the moment he "resigned." Then suddenly he has a change of heart? That's cute.

Don't be surprised if Urban returns right after the Alabama game. He's scared shitless of Alabama and Nick Saban.

Who was throwing around excuses? No excuses were coming from Meyer himself. Maybe from the media and fans, but not from him. The media got a hold of it and then started making up shite like they always do. Wake up!

*shrug* After all it was the night after the SECCG beat down that he had his "health scare". A little anxiety considering he has to face again Alabama next season, this time in Tuscaloosa?

His "hiatus" is a good excuse. Take the first 5-6 games off.

The fans and the media was who I was referring to. Meyer looked like he was out, and Gator fans scrambled to rationalize what could possibly be more important than UF.

Yea, because Meyer hasn't played in more important games than the '10 game in Tuscaloosa which isn't even the toughest venue in the SEC. It's not like he hasn't played in 4 BCS Bowls and 2 National Championships. Some of you Bama fans are fool of yourselves. Meyer, nor the Florida football program, or the fans are afraid of fricking Bama football. Anytime, Anywhere, Anyplace.

This is true, but he hasn't said anything that makes me think he won't be on the sidelines in '10. Barring a huge setback, he will be with us next year.

You're comparing apples and bowling balls.

This year he faced his first real threat to Florida's dominance. His reaction? Run away scared.

Alabama and Nick Saban are in his head. His team got dismantled in the SECCG. Guess what? It will be even worse this fall. Coach Meyer just doesn't want to be there this time to experience the domination.
