Going by average recruit rankings they're not even in the top ten nationally, and ranked and behind Georgia, TAMU, Tennessee, Texas and Alabama. So not that great. OK, but not great, not by a long shot.

Well we’re happy with them. So I guess we will see. Not an exact science by any means. Especially when combining portal and freshmen recruiting when they aren’t like for like at all.

HS is a non-factor for next year. LSU has the #1 portal class.

LSU had the #1 portal class last season too! You guys rode it to a 7-6 finish.

Indiana is about to win a title from the transfer portal. Not high school kids

The majority of Indiana’s transfers followed Cignetti from JMU to Indiana. They are as far from the one and done transfer portal model as can be. They have been playing for him four or five years.

So you’re saying you are signing twice as many bad or mediocre players? What are you saying?

No I’m saying lsu has triple the number of players yet are only 13 one hundredths behind in average, meaning they matched Alabama’s quality with quantity as well. I’d imagine LSU’s top 15 have a much higher average number than 88.23, which is why the question was asked.
