Laugh away
...the numbers say your offenses productivity are very similar.
Same with your defenses.

Oklahoma is the least likely of the four to win the title. Their defense is atrocious and the other teams have really good defenses. Oklahoma isn't going to be able to run up big scores like they get to in their conference.
Oklahoma actually has a pretty good defense. If Oklahoma had a bad offense their defense would be much better statistically. It's how it goes sometimes and you have to be able to tell when this is the situation.
I remember 2008 Auburn Defense was good. Everyone said 'if only we had an offense' well the next year we got one with Gus and low and behold the defense suddenly became worse. Teams weren't milking the clock like the previous year. Teams knew they had to score so they did..

Let's be objective, UGA is likely going to run a lot and I doubt Okie stops it consistently.
Okie is going to score as well but not as much because of possession.
This game will likely be pretty close IMO. No doubt Mayfield is good, but if UGA goes old school and slows the game down it might be interesting.

"Oklahoma actually has a pretty good defense"
Any numbers to support this assertion?

Using your goofy mentality, your offense is comparable to Colorado St in numbers and your defense is comparable to UTSA. In total offense, you're comparable to UMASS. See how easy this shite is?

UGA sits at #4 in scoring and total defense. Who exactly has OU played in the 1-3 slots?
UGA also comes from the SEC East. Is there a highpowered offense in the East? Mizzou? They got absolutely shut down by South Carolina, Purdue (3 points!) and Auburn.
So that's six games that Georgia had that were pretty easy, including Florida.
Then you have Samford, Appalachain State and Georgia Tech. None of those teams are really all that good on offense.
So out of 9 games, you hadn't faced one elite offense. Not even one.
There are two games wherein Georgia had to play actual offenses in the regular season.
One was Notre Dame, a 1 point win that looked incredible until Notre Dame got the dogshit kicked out of them by Miami and Stanford.
The other was Auburn, an actual, bonafide heavy hitter on offense who absolutely crushed you on their homefield. It wasn't even a contest.
So Georgia's elite defense all year had to have two stabs at Auburn, whose offense while good is no where near what we're talking about out at Oklahoma. I hate Oklahoma, by the way, and I'm happy we beat them for our NCG -- but that Georgia fans really think their defensive stats aren't padded by the 10 games against awful competition (Gators included) shows that not only are Georgia fans delusional, they're downright out of their minds.
Baker Mayfield is not Drew Lock, and Oklahoma is not Missouri. They've played two different top ten scoring defenses in the year and knocked one of them out of the top ten.

I stopped reading here. You shouldn't admit this publicly in front of the children.

They're out of their minds'. The East only has one SEC team that's above .500 in the SEC -- South Carolina (5 - 3). Everyone else is .500 or below. The East was the worst this year than it has ever been and I'd be shocked if even one team outside of Georgia is even ranked by the end of the regular season.

ND, Auburn, Missou all top 26 in total offense.
Oh wait, you right....UGA played noone this year to give us any indicators.
OU gonna roll us.

Scored 40 against you???? Oklahoma is much higher statistically, and plays harder offenses than Georgia has.

'Zou did well against you, it was a game at half time and unfortunately they didn't have the horses to keep up.
Missouri is not Oklahoma.

I know all of this. That's why it's funny. I also look at the back half of Mizzous schedule and see who they put up their numbers against and that's also funny.

Okay I couldn't resist. Here ya go, chumly.
You should probably read a little further than the first line to understand that I'm saying Oklahoma should give Georgia a good run for their money and that their defense is padded by easier opponents.
Not only that, Oklahoma scores very quickly and their defense is on the field more -- it's not that they're bad, it's that they're on the field so much.
I'm on your side, y'tard.

I don't mean this in insult to both teams or to Mayfield, but Georgia's biggest issue in this one is likely Georgia beating Georgia.
Outside of Mississippi State, which was important with Georgia establishing who they were going to be this season, Georgia has been starting sloppily vs the best teams they've faced. It almost got them vs Notre Dame, did bite them in the arse good in round 1 vs Auburn, and almost did again in the SECCG, as before Stidham fumbled, it looked like a repeat of the last 3 quarters at Auburn.
Against these type of spread offenses that are lightening fast at scoring, the biggest threat is yourself to me. You aren't fully shutting them down, but you can slow them down. If you however, make a mistake here, one there, you find yourself in catch up mode, pressing and being anxious, and often getting blown out.
The end of this story is if Georgia is sloppy/starting slow again in the Rose Bowl, they will likely not be given a chance to come back, like what has happened before.
