They need to be investigated by a board of officials representing the Universities. If they do wrong they are fined, the employees are fired in a disgraceful manner like coaches are, employees are given show causes, they are put on probation, the money from tv events go to the schools.

The question is who polices the police.

Plus every move they make should be out in the open for the member schools and public to know about. For example if a NCAA employee is having an affair it needs to be on ESPN and Finebaum like they do for college coaches and officials.

They have dished it out for years lets see them take it for a while.

I agree with the sentiment, but this would be 10x worse than what we have now.

It would expose just how bad of an organization they are.

The NCAA is the Universities...

Like literally it’s just all the university Presidents and ADs

The folks in Indianapolis are just the public face to draw the ire of fans and congressmen. The NCAA is what it is because Universities want it to be that way. They could change it at any point

100% correct. Those schools mad at the NCAA should look in the mirror.

People do not realize the Universities are the NCAA and are part of the problem. Who holds the Universities accountable, not the citizens as long as things are going well for their team.

Citizens don’t matter. Alumni donations matter. It’s the only language that matters. It’s the entire reason college Athletics exists beyond the intramural level (why athletics went from some guys getting together for friendly competition to selling tickets and invites to alumna to return to their alma mater for a weekend; it all started as a fundraising drive) and the NCAA was created to legitimize the inter school competition (and to prevent students receiving workmans comp for injuries sustained)

If you want change, donate enough to afford a voice that will be heard or accept what you have.

I honestly believe than many posters don't know who the NCAA is.

The universities literally are the NCAA. The NCAA isn't some nebulous quasi governmental organization. The universities collectively control every aspect of the NCAA, not the other way around, although sometimes it may not seem that way. If enough member schools want to change anything, they can do that anytime.

Most schools are state sponsored and the State Legislatures do matter. Even though those dollars have been reduced over the years, the schools can not function without it.

The same fat cat university donors are often the same fat cat donors who have the politicians in their pockets.

Most state governments are influenced by the same big donors that feed the schools and programs. The average citizen has little if any influence on how a university reacts to a situation outside of a major scandal wherein public perception can override the dollars

The SEC should just pull out of the NCAA before it implodes.

The SEC could dominate the TV market, pay its players (while maintaining some parity), and allow for players to make their own money on the side (NIL) if they were smart enough to be the first to pull out and make their own League.

Instead the SEC is going to go down with the NCAA at this rate.
