Meh. I've moved toward apathy at this point of the night. Does this whole situation piss me off. frick and yes. Will it piss me off tomorrow? You betcha. Am I dissatisfied with Richt right now? Eh, I'm mostly still at the neutral position I've always been in (I certainly don't respect and love him the way a fanbase probably should respect and love their HC, a la Saban at Bama). Do I loathe the looks hipster arse holes give me when I walk into Farm 255 or the Globe with dirty jeans, a white football shirt, and my sweat-stained black hat? Nah, not really, I kind of like ruining their pretentious, culturally elitist atmosphere they wrap up in. But do I loathe the way that the general student population and po-po treat the football program like it is a second rate social function rather than a founding member of the best conference in America? To no fricking end.

i don't worship any UGA coach because we have never had an elite one. and frick that retard, santorum would pile drive this country into the the depths. AND i don't suck from the mark richt teet

UF players, including Cam Newton at the time, had some ridiculously large number of traffic violations as well but no one ever heard about it because no one was arrested and/or punished publicly
Link on the other players besides Cam. I'm not defending Cam. Some Aubie will do that but what does parking tickets have to do with football. You don't get arrested if you pay them. Speeding on campus get's a ticket not an arrest. Remember Carlos Dunlap's dumb arse getting arrested. Don't project on UF. We arrest our fools for weed and shiite like texting women it's time to dine.
You don't get punished for parking tickets or traffic violations bucket head.

you nailed it, except all the things you aren't mad still piss me off too
all of it can be fixed by winning. may not be genuine but the way traditions are built are through success. not just any success but like UF, LSU, and Bama success.

I don't smoke anywhere close to enough weed as I should to be as laid back as I am IRL. The angriest I ever get during the day is when I come on here to find shite like this going on
Posted on 3/28/12 at 10:06 pm to tylerdurden24
well luckily for me i have made my sports outlet this website so really IRL i don't talk about it much. i have a few friends who ar passionate dawgs but i really don't know too many who wlll even care.
i am mad right now but you said it best, at this point my anger has turned to apathy. i am frustrated, i am pissed but it's just it's the same song and dance so instead of getting worked up as much as i may usually i just sit here and shake my head at the georgia football program and the pure incompentency that is rampant throughout it. hell, for all the teams i root for.

Go back and look at 90% of the things UGA football players have been arrested for when every one has been throwing out the thUGA POS and then get back to me on that statement.

Are you saying Richt tossed people off the team or even suspended someone for parking tickets?
Unless they were arrested for not paying them (pretty rare) why would you punish a player for parking tickets. I don't care what school you attend or cheer for.
I'm tired and may not be understanding what you are trying to say. Plus, some of you SoGa folks talk like you've got marbles in your mouth.

Honestly, I think what draws me to the Braves and Dawgs is the inherent apathy and mediocrity they share with me: they do just enough good to keep their heads above water (winning the division/winning 10 games), but don't dare exceed beyond that or else raise the stakes too high for themselves year-to-year

In Richt's words, "For putting themselves in that position."
I shite you not, Rennie Curran was suspended a game for failing to renew his license

Also, most of the arrests are for bullchit reasons.
Very few teams have violent crimes or felonies.
Stealing a helmet was bad but they should have just made him give it back and run stadium steps until his lungs bled.

see, i see it as my teams are mired and they have all the potential in the world but continue to shoot themselves in the foot. i am sure i have some life parallels in there but what gets me is when there is a chance at greatness and loads of potential but everything happens to make sure everything falls short.

richt does it so he has built in excuses for failure

There had to be more to Rennie's story than that.
You'd never get a recruit for suspending someone for failing to renew their license. Are you sure he wasn't driving with a suspended license and then was arrested for it? That just sounds weird.

Glass half full vs. glass half empty. Realistically: Richt is mediocre

This is why I've thought we need to move on. We need better than mediocre.

Yeah, he was pulled over for something routine and was fined for having an expired license. Richt suspended him one game. THAT is what Richt does with discipline, and I'm starting to wonder if rather than put in extra behind-the-scenes work busting their asses, he just suspends them so he doesnt have to deal with it any more than he absolutely has to

Dude, UGA has had guys arrested for "exiting an alley", "passing on the right" ( while on a freakin' scooter), "failing to give a middle name", etc, etc, etc.
