I was arrested for the same thing 10+ years ago in Athens and was out the door in less than 90 minutes. I’m honestly not even sure what you’re insinuating but it’s nonexistent.

Everyone is at work at 1000 AM on a Monday. Maybe it makes things smoother.

I guess what we learned here is to morning drink early in the work week if you prefer not spend hours in the tank.

Duly noted. Going to have to adjust my schedule of activities.

I'd wager every head football coach OR someone inside the football program has a direct line to their local police department.

Translation. Football player is arrested, police department has football coach on speed dial.

I know for a fact one program does... but I don't have a link.

Likely true in many cases, but you still need the judge on call if you want early release on bond. It'd why a dui or PI on a Fri is just the icing on top of the bad decision cake in many places.

I'm guessing he was pulled over in the middle of the night, they let him call the UGA athletics drunk arse hotline to arrange bail and it took them awhile to do a blood draw to actually book him.

This wasn't in Athens-Clarke County, it was in neighboring Oconee County. Does Kirby have every county in east Georgia on retainer? If he does, I'd be impressed.

Wonderful Kirby Culture

He is charged with driving too far for conditions, violating Class D license restrictions, following too closely, and driving under the influence of drugs.

His arrest is the third driving-related incident of the offseason for the Bulldogs, as former Bulldog and Eagles first-round pick Jalen Carter was arrested prior to the NFL Combine and charged with reckless driving and racing. Linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson was arrested on the same charges as Carter in January.

And it was reckless driving that killed a UGA staffer and her boyfriend/UGA player.

Kirby doesn’t care about culture or who gets hurt or killed, as long as he is winning. He had put winning above public safety.

Anyone getting a dwi at 10:00 in the morning more than likely pull an all nighter. And was within 2 miles of home when pulled over.
Ask me how I know these things.

None of that is in doubt, I was speaking to the conspiracy theory that Kirby has every cop in Georgia on speed dial to expedite the bond process. That's absurd.
