I get that, but my problem is the lack of respect on our end is because historically we have been an awful team. We've been rapidly improving and people are sleeping on us still, but people in our base need to understand that after literal decades of 2-4 win seasons, national perception isn't going to change overnight.

Absolutely correct. Is it fair? Not really...but it is what it is. That's why Alabama gets the benefit of the doubt.

As far as Georgia is concerned, you all just seem to channel your inner Kentucky at the worst possible time.
Actually in the last 5 years the only game (That I can think of) that we lost that we absolutely should have won was South Carolina in 2019. Other than that we typically have won the ones we should have and we have gotten beaten by teams that were either better or at least even with us in talent. I guess one we thought we would win and didn't might be LSU in 2018, but they had a good team and won the National Championship the next year so the talent was definitely there.

I look at Kentucky in a similar manner as i looked at Arkansas. A team that has been down lately that have good coaches that are building really good teams. They are not there but will be soon, and can beat anybody they play on any given Saturday.

I am excited for Arkansas and Kentucky fans, and hope both teams do well in every game except ours.

What UK fan has said you haven’t played anybody this season? I call BS on that one (at least in a halfway serious post)

Cool your heels, Belle. I was talking in general, although I would be willing to bet UK45Thatguy (Or whatever his name is) has said it. He likes to poke fun that way.

But I was talking about Kentucky fans in general. I was talking how both fan bases have been disrespected as a whole.

I did name Kentucky specifically, and shouldn't have. However this quote at least insinuates we have not played anybody...this from earlier in the thread:

Kentucky has by far the best ground attack UGA has seen and also has the best Defense UGA has seen.

After reading through this thread, utterly shocked that UK with the 11th ranked team, a 6-0 record, and doing things they haven't done in a long time, believes they will win Saturday. What kind of fanbase believes such a thing!?1?

I'm equally shocked that UGA fans, with a defense doing what no defense has done statistically since 2011 Bama, would think they are gonna shut UK down. I mean, UGA's only won the last four games by double digits with UK only putting up 17 at their peak and barely over 300 for their most total yards in any game.

Just crazy that anyone in this thread would feel this way.

With all that said, the comment about crowd noise and Lexington from the UK fan definitely sounds like someone that's visited Rupp about a gazillion more times than Kroger.

Yes. It proves some uk fans think they are better than they are.

In reality, they are likely near even odds with ark and auburn, and they don’t have the defense Clemson had in Charlotte.

Georgia is a really, really, really bad matchup for Kentucky. They win games with toughness, physicality, and a grinding rushing attack. Levis throws a little more than they have in the past but that's still their formula.

Kentucky has to try and overpower Georgia. Those are the kinds of teams that this Georgia team is going to absolutely massacre.

I could see that but I do think UGA goes into the low 40’s in this game from home field advantage and excellent execution. It’s just hard to turn the gas off when everything is running smoothly.

Right, but what I meant by channeling your "Inner Kentucky" is that you all would have a big lead heading into the 4th against a 50/50 matchup or better team and then play calling gets way too conservative or random arse errors happen that hadn't happened all season. The number of times we have been up on Louisville or Florida just to implode is so ridiculously high that I've lost count

As much as it pains me to say it...

UGA will boat race UK.

Way too much is being made of that Florida win. We lost plain and simple. However, Florida dominated the stats and played one of the worst games I’ve seen in years.

UGA is a different animal this year and their D will FEAST on a one dimensional Uk offense.

Additionally, I give UK props for beating us as their D played with a ton of toughness.
