Because they had miscommunication like the ref said, which resulted in the wrong call.
So they did call OPI?
No? STFU.

Once the call is made, it isn’t reversible by RULE
Not according to the SEC.

The game officials gathered to discuss the play, which is permitted to ensure the proper penalty is enforced, at which time the calling official reported that he erred, and a foul should not have been called for defensive pass interference. Consequently, Texas was awarded the ball at the Georgia 9 yard line.
SEC Statement

Maybe take the tinfoil hat off and realize the SEC officiating isn’t out to get you. If they were the 70 return wouldn’t have been called back or would that have to have even change the call on the INT. They wouldn’t have thrown a flag.

To actually believe this statement you’d have to be retarded.
Let’s review it then.
What was the time of the game?

It actually isn’t permitted. The SEC office is making it up as they go

Well luckily for the rest of the SEC now, we will all throw bottles to get bad calls changed after they’ve been called on the field.

They are full of shite. Once the referee announces the official call it can not be reversed. They can discuss before he announces it and pick up the flag. Once he makes the official announcement it can not be reversed. It's a non reviewable call.

I’m gonna assume you’re not asking me what time the game started, like your question is phrased.

Sounds like y’all should’ve started doing that a long time ago.

It hasn’t ever happened until last night. Why? Because the horns were in danger of losing so badly they would drop out of the Top 10. Do you actually believe the crap you are spouting?

38 total yards before the refs got involved. 38!

Of course the SEC office is going to say that.
"We investigated ourselves and everything looks good."

You’re embarrassing yourself. But, you don’t have shame. So, you’re not recognizing it.

If this is your only example after watching the horrible spots, not giving ETN the td after obviously crossing the line, WR getting hit before the ball got to him, not giving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when pelted with bottles, changing their minds after a bad call bc they looked at the Jumbotron while the field was getting trashed, missed roughing the passer, etc
Don’t forget Ewers intentionally grounding with no one within 15 yds of where the ball landed.
