45 snaps is a regular amount of pass attempts for a backup qb. He was your #2 in year 1. Now he is in his second year. You can’t make that reality go away.

Ewers just completely chocked on that day. I think the name UGA got into his head.

He didn’t play well but Texas also had 0 run game, couldn’t pass protect, and was owned in the line of scrimmage.

I think it’s a bit of a fallacy to say Ewers just played like shite. The offense didn’t do anything all night at home.

Texas has no excuses losing to this team.

Texas really doesn't.

It's not like UGA had an unexpected offensive performance against Texas. the UGA offense played just as bad in that game as they did against Ole Miss.

Texas just didn't have any offense while Ole Miss had enough. UGA's defense set up UGA's offense with short fields. UGA had one scoring drive over 35 yards against Texas. They also had one against Ole Miss.

The only difference was that their offense was able to avoid giving UGA short fields over and over. Texas's offense was unable to do that. Your offense is about as arse as UGA's is.

True freshman can’t be a backup? Read this slow enough for it sink in… four (4) games of mop up duty in season and 1 competitive game in bowl game….

I get that Kirby is shat at getting the next QB productive reps but the way they handled Nico is pretty much the ideal way you want to get a QB ready to be your starter the next year. Case in point, Beck is gone after this year and Stockton is the next likely guy in line. We are 9 games in and Kirby has given him 12 attempts in 1 game. That’s just terrible roster management. Last year no UGA backup got to 20 attempts, the year before, despite Beck not being able to redshirt he only saw action in a handful of games and had less than 40 attempts. Again just piss poor roster management.

45 passes in 1 full season as the backup is substantial. You are trying to downplay that as if it isn’t, but I remember you not understanding that when you trashed Kirby before the 2021 season, so at least you are consistent.

Most backup qbs use a year of eligibility for that. Just because the redshirt rules changed to not count against his eligibility does not disprove the point being made.
