Both of those teams were garbage. Any of the 4 teams in the playoff would have beaten either of them by double digits. Thankfully the Playoff Committee saw Alabama was likely the true SEC Champion, and put them in so they could prove it. And prove it they did.

It looks like there's plenty of room on the bottom of that trophy for an asterisk. Good. I'll have a representative of the National Champions send the content to be placed there. Should arrive in either 26 or 23 days.

It is a harder accomplishment to pull off, so some of it is likely Saban just showing off. But having a trophy when you're clearly #2 would just bug a true champion. Alabama destroys their second place trophies, but I'm glad UGA can enjoy them.

We will never know how bad Bama would have won a rematch thanks to faulty conference rules and a terrible East division. Thankfully, the playoffs allowed the true SEC and National Champion to be revealed. Congrats on being #2 this year.

And Alabama has a win over UGA, and thus are Champions of College Football which included the SEC. It's ok, you can keep your second place trophy. Everybody knows who is #1.
