We still ran very well in the 1st half when we had balance and were mixing up the throwing and running. That wasn't our A-game, but even if it was, that is what we've been doing for most of the season, with the exception of playing down to Missouri and Kent State.

UT played a bad game because they were shut down by better players and coaches. If you had watched/listened to/read about the "keys to the game" in stopping your offense last week, there were very specific things that had to happen for our defense to be successful, and we did all of those things very well. This wasn't some fluke like you're making it out to be, like both teams were on equal footing and one team just played a little better than the other this time. Everything UGA needed to do to shut down your explosive offense, it did. That's why the talking heads aren't talking about a two-score win as a beat down, but that it was a beat down that was greater than the 2-score outcome. Everything I've consumed so far from non-UGA and non-TN homers says the same thing: anyone who watched the game saw complete domination in all elements. It wasn't nearly as close as the scoreboard says.

What do you think the game plan was? Play like everyone else, but a little better? No, the plan was exactly to make TN work for every yard. Give up the 2-, 3-, 4-yard plays, and limit the explosive ones. The plan was to keep everything in front of our defenders in the hopes that we either stop you and force a punt, or shorten the field in the red zone and keep you to 3 points. In spite of that, you still had season low numbers in yards and scoring (if I remember correctly).

What you just described here is the result of a purposeful game plan to stop you, not something that you should be bragging about.
