People been saying this for over 10 years…

Nebraska is not the state of Florida, elite players from GA, FL, TX, LA, MS, AL, TN are not going to play in Nebraska (the 4-5 star guys who can get an SEC Scholarship). The 3 star guys, good players, who don't get Scholarships might go there but even those guys can go play at UK, MSU, SCAR, Arkansas, Mizzou etc or Texas Tech, TCU, Ok.State, in Big 12

There will never be a total talent problem at Florida, there are coaching problems. Nebraska will always have a talent problem so coaching will only potentially get them to an 8-4 or 9-3 tops.

Where are they going to recruit, the top Big10 footprint states in terms of HS football are Ohio, PA, Michigan, Illinois, etc, those kids are not going to Nebraska.

Nebraska in my opinion is in this era, a development type program. More of a Kansas State like Bill Snyder, Iowa with Kirk Ferenz, sign 3-stars, use some JUCO, maybe go to the Portal and pick up a few guys, RS some of your freshman and every 3 or 4 you have 2 consecutive groups that mature together, you can have a solid team

Nah.

Look at the demographic in each state.

Nebraska will never be the same for a few reasons:

-Combines took over corn fed Offensive linemen
-Nebraska joining the Big 10
-Recruiting

Florida has none of these issues and will be back with or without Napier coaching

Been hearing this for 12+ years

Florida is at least a decade away from even being competitive, much less “back” if they ever will be

Mullen is the best Florida can do right now

Chip Kelly and Scott frost declined Florida’s offer to go to better programs.

One of them is still there, the other didn’t work out

Face it, Florida is Vandy and Mizzou level now.

Florida has way more to offer than Lincoln, Nebraska

Does it?

Gainesville is not near the beach and there is nothing to do there

It is also in the middle of nowhere and about 3 hours from Tampa (Lincoln about the same from Kansas City) and about 1-2 hours from jax (same as Lincoln to Omaha).

Florida is not the destination that people think it is, especially with UCF in Orlando and the U in Miami as more entertaining places

You can build a championship roster with talent within 500 miles of Gainesville, which all three of our teams who won one were majority of that demographic.

They might not even be Nebraska’s level

That’s why frost turned them down

Good point

Nebraska is widely considered as an old school original blue blood program

Florida is not

One is set in fertile recruiting ground. The other might as well be on mars

They wont. People want to play at UF regardless of the coach

This is not true

Besides brief walks in the sun with spurrier and Meyer, Florida has been an Iowa-level and caliber program

.

Georgia got lucky and Vince Dooley found a freak of nature, Herschel Walker. Dooley saddled up and let Walker carry his and UGA's sorry arse team to a championship.

Then 40 years later, Bowl cut Kirby. Went to Tuscaloosa to learned from the master. He sat and learned (how to buy 5 stars, B4 it was legal) how to recruit, coach and build a program. 40 years in between national championships is considered elite, I guess?

None of that changes the fact that UF is Iowa with hot and humid weather and in a prairie-swamp instead of a corn field

*Iowa doesn't have 13 SEC championship game appearances. With 7 wins in the game. Florida does.
Both are exactly 4 more wins and appearances than UGA has. You trollin' sumbitch.

Iowa doesn't have 3 Heisman winners. Iowa doesn't have 3 Natty's . And neither does UGA.
