Finley was wrong, but that cop is mental, and should not be out there. Seriously shooting a student, and handcuffing a j walker to a post????
Long live the unions!

A lot of GPD/UPD officers are bitter and angry individuals because they make little to no money and walk around seeing people being far more successful then they will ever hope to be.

I have met him and heard him speak. He's far from the biggest.

Are you mad that he retweeted what someone else tweeted? That makes no sense really.

I hate twitter FTR.

At least your police chief isn't an incompetent, unqualified moron.

This actually applies to the entire profession for the most part. Most police are anti-social types who failed at life. So they take a job where they get to tell those who did succeed in life what to do.

You are a fricking moron. In no way does that apply to the whole profession. Small town cops might be an exception, but on a whole the are just like everyone else.

Nobody is saying he was acting correctly, but as a whole the GPD is over zealous. I come from a law enforcement family and will end up going into it as well, but I have no issue with anyone suggesting that a lot of GPD officers lack critical thinking skills

Law enforcement here in general fits this description. Gainesville has to have three law enforcement officials of some type for every one person that lives here.

I wasn't giving an opinion, this is a statistical fact, supported both by mainstream medical/psychological research AND the DSM-IV and DSM-V.

Yeah sure. That speeding ticket must have really missed you off. By the way, a lot of cops are former armed service men and women. Guess they're failures too. Also, most non bumfrick located departments require a 4 year degree and federal agencies require a masters, but they're all dumb recluses with anxiety disorders, right?
