So, with 2 more years left to improve, you don't think Wes can go further than college ball? He consistently hits well, can hit the long ball and has the defensive skills at first.

I don't know. I do think he would have had a better shot at the NFL than the MLB.

He's one hell of a baseball player but all he is is power. Outside of that and his size, what's there to like about him?

Elite is such a strong word. He's tall and big as hell. It's easy to make plays when you're his size. I will say that the play to get the last out against Indiana was impressive.

Mitchell probably doesn't have the stuff to get them out today.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying, but I also heard one of his comments about wanting to be able to walk. I totally agree with him on that. I had two knee surgeries from football, one in high school and the last in college. My knees hurt damn near every day. I can't imagine what the knees of NFL payers are like.

So because he's big and tall and makes it look easy that makes him any less elite?

So I am guessing the Lakers would be awesome at the baseballs?

Guess I can understand that. I knew Kent Hull and he had so many surgeries to repair his knees it was ridiculous. He had a lot of trouble walking for a long time. Sad story I heard was at his sons wedding he couldn't walk up the stairs to the reception dinner.

Not saying that. He's just a little overrated IMO.

The reason I hate him is because his talent is geared towards football. He should have been a football player and not a giant thumb standing on first base.

what a dumb statement

Was MUCH more talented as a football player. He pissed that talent away by playing baseball. I can't stand people who waste talent.

what if he wins cws mvp as a sophomore? You don't determine what he has more talent in.
