Napier can survive alright. If he beats LSU and somehow goes 8-4 we will be stuck with him next season.

I’ve watched a lot of Sunbelt football and the chance of Billy making that happen Is pretty high.

There’s just something about the level of coaching where the teams are wildly inconsistent week to week. He seems to have brought it to Florida.

the hiring process was rushed and they went for a fricking clown like this

Was it rushed? Did the UF brass believe the locals media hype around Baton Rouge and think LSU was about to pull trigger for him, so they had to rush to hire him obviously thinking he was better than he is?

I mean so many idiots around LSU we're begging for him, and most of us wanted nothing to do with him. Long term, im not sure Kelly will win a championship but damn Im so glad LSU didnt hire Billy

The bar seems to be set at qualifying for a bowl game.

Napier was kept long enough to see the re-emergence of both FSU and Miami. That also translates into a recruiting nightmare within the state of Florida.

And then top it off with Napier losing to both USF and UCF during his tenure.

I think it was actually the national media hype that put him in the running.

As great as Spurrier was he talks about his time at Florida little differently. He talks like he was tired of Florida fans acting disappointed to every good season that didnt win a championship, and that is why he left.

The cost of allowing a program to wallow in mediocrity exceeds even the huge buyouts.

The rank and file have to keep the pressure on the BMD's and make them see, a loser coach is like being upside down on a mortgage and continuing to pay on it rather than walking away is throwing good money after bad.

9-3 sounds wonderful now. I mean Ole Miss now and when Lane was hired is much better. I think he will do very well, we need cocky great offensive minded guys like Spurrier or Meyer.

Nonsense no matter what he said. Spurrier wanted to try his hand in the NFL. He would have came back to UF when we hired Meyer.
