The city of Tuscaloosa has a democrat progressive as a mayor. So why would anyone be surprised.

I didn't what, go to the game? Do you want some kind of proof? Not sure how to tell you but the rent of a building has literally nothing to do with the people hanging out on the strip after a game.

I live in Tuscaloosa, and the areas around the stadium and the Strip have been gentrified to hell and back over the past fifteen years. It's basically stacks upon stacks of "luxury student housing" towers.

I'm aware. Despite only attending 2 football games there over the last 5 yeras, I visit tuscaloosa far more than that. We take our kids to the hands on childrens museum every couple months, and sometimes my wife and I will simply make a trip there to walk around and shop and eat. I'm well acquainted with the improvmeents in the area from 10-20 years ago.

The games, like SEC games everywhere, have become so expensive to attend that lower income people basically can't go to them anymore. The crowds are wealthier than they've ever been in the history of college football.

spot on. also has nothing to do with people milling around at night after games.

Where in the heck did you go that you were "shocked by the demographics?

after the game I walked from the stadium to my parking lot behind Wagner's Runwalk at 4th St/Queen City Ave. What I specifically was referring to was the stretch from Buffalo Phils all the way down until turninong on QCA.

Not to be overlooked is the last sentence of the article.

"Gainesville, Fla., the home of the University of Florida, was ranked number one."

If buttchugging was considered a crime in Tn, Knoxville would be #1.

Which has already been proven false.
