It was a simple question, thanks for the thoughtful response.

I don't think you were saying that about Grant when he was hired......

This has gotten to the point you are either trolling, extremely insecure, or both.

Did you not see this board when it looked like for a minute that Bama might get Marshall?

Yeah I saw this board... most of it was because we all knew that all of our eggs were thrown in the Marshall basket with no plan B.

AJ fell in our laps and the more we researched AJ the more we fell in love with the idea... it's a perfect match in our opinion. He brings a far more exciting personality to the game than Marshall... he will be able to bring in better players than Marshall (does anybody know if GM can really recruit at this level?) AJ turns out to have actually traveled and consulted in AAU, he knows lots of coaches and players, who will be coming out the next few years... A&M fans know his impact, he helped them land a 5* and a 4*

So the recruiting knocks on him have now been dispelled and the "can he coach college basketball?" question... well that's just laughable. And my favorite.. "he's going to use Bama as a stepping stone back to the NBA" NONE of us care about that... it would mean that he was tearing it up at Bama and he'd leave us in a great situation.

Bama basketball is far from being in the dumps... it's a solid program right now... we just want to be great.

It's funny how the one you get is always better than the one who tells you to frick off

The jury

is still out.

That would be the case with either of those hires. Marshall considered the job, doubted his ability and chose the comfort of home. Good for him.

So he doubted his ability because he stayed where he was?

Everyone has their version of the truth, that's mine. You new here? You did not question the "told them to frick off" remark. Only took three days to do that.

This is amazing. You have convinced yourself that a guy who has never coached college basketball is already a better recruiter than a guy who has been doing it for 20 years.

Had we landed Prohm or Miller that would not have been the case. The fans would have been split on who we ended up with. We would have just been happy that it was all over with. And the excitement would have been over after a couple of days.

The AJ get is a whole different animal tho.
