...Auburn fiasco. He is the best coach that Auburn ahs ever had and the morons hit the panic button and listened to the babbling drunk fool and fired him. Now they have placed their hopes on a high school coach to compete against Saban. They have destryed this program.

In all honesty reviving the program after 2008 would have been a lot easier than right now. Then it was a numbers issue. Now its both a number and philosophical issue. Now our players are pussies and there aren't very many of them

Yeah, he was their best coach, but it was time to go. We have been through that before too. At some point a coach has done all he can at a program. It stagnates. See Mack Brown.

Interesting that you mention the numbers issue. I heard something the other day and I am not sure how accurated my numbers will be but it will be between one and two players.
On the radio they said Gene had signed about 98 players since being at Auburn and out of that 45 were either off the team, dead, or in jail. That was staggering to me.
Probation wouldn't ahve cost Auburn that many scholarship players. You have to take players with character.
