I know this is a “crap on Tua and troll Bama thread” but Miami losing that game is pretty pathetic.

Allen threw two interceptions deep in Miami territory. Had the brain fart at the end of the first half and threw the ball in the field of play to end the half, and lost a fumble deep in Miami territory. Bills offense held to 14 points.

How do you lose that game ?

On behalf of myself and everyone else who was unable to watch or keep up with the games yesterday, thank you for keeping us updated on how former Alabama players are doing this year.

Saban curses offenses. The best thing he could do is hire someone who knows what they're doing and get the hell out of the way. But I doubt he could admit that weakness and relinquish that much control

While I salute your subtlety and subterfuge pretending to be an Alabama fan, it is careless to make statements like above that are easily quantifiable. So, Saban curses offenses? Let’s confirm that. We will look at where Alabama has ranked in points per game on offense in the SEC the last ten years. Since Saban curses offenses, surely they will be way down the list. Right?

2023: 4th
2022: 2nd
2021: 1st
2020: 1st
2019: 2nd
2018: 1st
2017: 2nd
2016: 1st
2015: 4th
2014: 2nd

Eight out of ten years they were 1st or 2nd. That doesn’t seem cursed. Their worst showings were a pair of 4th place finishes. And this last year that was with a running back at quarterback, an offensive line that had more holes than a colander, and an offensive coordinator that everyone here says was borderline retarded. Yet Alabama still was 4th in points per game. Saban and Alabama are just cursed on offense? You sure?

Hiring offensive coordinators and getting out of their way is what he does. Even when it means letting BOB call three pass plays in a row from first and goal at the 3 when you have been running it down their throats. Or letting Rees call the doomed RPO to end the Michigan game.

You usually do a little better than this pretending to be an Alabama fan. I am sure you will clean up the mistakes.

I have a steady argument with a friend about Tua, I've told him from day 1 I was worried about" the dogg in him" , " his fragility ", his " one read tendency ". He's improved with McDaniel as coach but he still can't beat the top defenses, play elite in the big game. I don't hate him ,I'm just not 100 % on him. I new he was gonna throw it away last night, no Hill,no Waddle on the field, had the feelin he'd do that. So many times this year he's ignored Berrios or Cracraft wide open to throw into double or triple coverage to Hill or Waddle. And he needs to go to Hill and Waddle speed camp,he's so damn slow trying to scramble away from rushers, he can't outrun d-tackles. He's like a snail running in super glue. We could have a worse Qb situation, so I should be happier, I realize that but dammnnnn man

19 players out at the start last night, a couple more went down, don't know if I should even watch Saturday

People fail to realize that a lot of that offense is predicated on timing. It isn’t happenstance he has the fastest release in the NFL. A few things that factor in are 1) injuries on the offensive line. He does get a fair share of free rushers. 2) his center has to be related to Seth M. Dude snaps it all over the place, which throws the timing off on the play. 3) all of his receivers are running at different paces. They all get to a spot at different times. Last night claypool came in for tyreek who is likely in that spot a fair amount faster than claypool, and probably runs a better route there too. Same could be said for waddle. That pick wasn’t great, but that game isn’t on Tua. He played really well up until that point. He does lock in too much and needs to be better there.
