Another real prize is the worst poster tourney.

I feel like if you’re not getting nominated for both brackets, you’re not internetting very well. Either playing too nice in an over the top attempt to be amicable, or just plain boring/lazy, IMO.
Wild Bill’s run in 2019 was peak internet performance. His problem now is that he’s gotten so good with the gifs & memes that nobody is offended by them any more.

You're not wrong. This is never going to be a board where actual sports talk is the theme in most threads. That's why there are team boards. It's as much, if not more so, an outlet for some to blow off steam and watch others melt over silly comments as it is a sports board.
The levity that some of the more interesting troll artists bring is also a great part of the board, especially among the few of them that can balance that with furthering an actual sports topic on occasion or at least be self-aware enough to know when to temper things with civility. They may not be the best, but they are certainly the more interesting.
The low IQ/EQ trolls with no imagination are the true worst posters. It's the Sad Knight vs Stephen debate. The former is an intentional, certainly planted, troll for clicks. The latter is simply oblivious to how bad they are, and a true worst poster.

Nailed it. IMO there are only a handful of "worst" posters who actually believe what they post.
I'm fully convince that Irons Puppet falls within that category, for example. If not, he has totally managed to fool me at this point.
