So you are telling me that the OL threw the game because they were mad? They threw the most important, life changing game of their career, one that will live with them for as long as they live just because a few players were pissed? If this is true then you need to fire Miles for total lack of discipline on the team. All this Miles is a players coach b.s. will have come to bite him in the arse.

I think most of it is b.s. and rumors but if so LSU has some horrible deep seeded problems.

Truths about the BCSNC Game?

This is gonna be one of those long, slow, yet incredibly intense, meltdowns. Its gonna make Fukushima look like an Easy Bake oven.

Yes, until Feb. 1 when Les signs another Top 5 class. And until the spring game when Mettenberger shows his stuff.
There will still be a certain faction of the fan base who don't like Les, but they won't matter when we make another BCS run next year.

You need to go look at the rant. These conspiracies have damn near been the norm, not the exception.

I hope they are not true. And I dont for a half second believe they are.

It's really just pathetic.

I thought and have heard on here countless times that the players love playing for Les.

Is that all BS now?

You may be right. I've tried to purge that season from my memory, and don't want to look up any further details.

The Zow/Watts controversy split the team and coaching staff.

It is the head coach's job to put his team in the right mindset and the right situation to win the game.

In the first game, I believe Saban had bama in the right mindset but didn't put the team in the right situation to win because he didn't trust his qb to be able to win the game. Miles did a better job in this game of having his team in the right mindset and with pulling Jlee when he started having problems, put his team in the best situation to win.

In the BCSNCG, I believe Les failed miserably at both. I think LSU players saw this coming after the first half of the SEC Championship game. The team lost all confidence in JJ as qb even though they won convincingly and after the first few series of the BCSCG when JJ was having trouble, why Miles didn't go with Jlee just to see if he could change the dynamic of the game, lost this team. There was NO emotion on their sideline and that definitely shows a severe lack of leadership from the players.

Coach Saban on the other hand had his team in the right mindset and with the trust he DID put in his qb and the early success of this offense, there was no way his defense was going to lose this game. Right mindset, right situation.

This LSU team quit in that game because they didn't trust their head coach to put them in the right situation because of loyalty to one player.

My question to LSU fans is this. Going into next season with the expectations as high as they are going to be (pre-season #1), does this team have the internal leadership to trust Miles to put them in the best situation to win it all?

No, they have not been the norm, at least the detailed one that the OP posted in this thread.
This is the only really long one I have seen that has names, actions, details, and events. This one out-does all the other 'WTF happened' questions.
Of course there have been other posters guessing, speculating, and stating opinions, but the OP lists names and events (not to say that it is true).
But I think people just want to know how a 13-0
steamroller that beat 8 ranked bowl teams and outscored their opponenets 500-134, scored 40 or more points 9 times, could come out in the NCG with ZERO emotion...

i dont believe this, but if something went down they may have been distracted and our D did keep us in the game, not taking anything away from AJ, he played spectacular as did Bamas D, very impressive, but even alot of Bama fans said something didn't seem right, like something happened. In any event you were the better team and saban had his players and staff hitting on all cylinders and a big kudos to him and the staff fo that

i think so, the JL and JJ fiasco is over, and the QB's in waiting all have the potential to be top SEC caliber players. Miles will have them ready

LSU's defense was ready to play and did so very well. But you cannot keep the defense on the field for as long as they were- offense failed to move the ball and Coaches failed to make adjustments. I don't say JL would have won the game but I do say change was necessary after 3 quarters when you know what you have going isn't working at all. Shame on you, Class-Les Miles!
