Based on QB play I’d give the edge to OU. Both Texas and OU have stud defenses. Tough call

I think we’ve all been saying this for years though, Arch isn’t it. If his last name is Bradley he’s probably a 3 star out of high school.

Agree and disagree. The name probably gave him an extra star on the recruiting front. I think it’s way too early to call him a bust though. Yeah he had a couple starts last year against crappy teams but this is the first time it’s all his. I expect to see progression as the season goes on.

But I could be wrong.

I do think Sark is the bigger problem. Sloppy, penalty-filled football has become too much of a trend on offense.

Yeah, true. I feel like teams usually embody the personality of their coach, and Sark has always seemed unhinged. A couple years ago there’s a video of him screaming in the face of some poor kid that was helping run the game. You sometimes wonder if he’s hitting the bottle again and keeping it secret like he did at USC.

As far as Arch, I sort of want him to do well just because of the intense pressure he has to be under from everyone. Can you imagine trying to live up to that name?

I saw that video and it was weird but what? Unhinged? Sark might be the calmest coach on the sideline in America

He looks healthier than I have ever seen him so I highly doubt it.

Lol sark isn’t figuring this out. He never could with quinn. What on earth makes you think it will just magically come together now?
Sark is the problem. Unfortunately, championship caliber coaches don’t fall off trees. No guarantee we could do better.
We just need to have realistic expectations.

This is true. I hate to say it, but it is.

Not our fault everyone except Georgia and *checks notes* Vandy sucked last year on our schedule.

We were told the SEC was the best in the nation.

As a Texas fan it could be true, i dont know how they do it. Punk Luck is what youll learn OU has.
Every year they seem to find a good QB that alot of people sleep on.

I’m going to have to say true. Before the season, this question would have been laughable. But Oklahoma’s QB play has been far superior and their defense looks nasty.

I think Arch still has a lot of upside potential, and if he stays healthy will keep developing with more reps, as the game slows down for him and he learns how to find his receivers and read defenses better. We have a lot of new O line starters. Arch and offense are a work in progress, and the team needs to clean up the penalties. It will be interesting to see how the offense looks against FL after two more lesser opponent games and our bye week.

Right now my guess is that we are about evenly matched with Oklahoma overall. Our defense can have lots of trouble with a mobile opposing quarterback. I am cautious and not overconfident about winning the Red River Shootout vs. OU this year.

Arch’s grandpa Archie was likely wiser than he was given credit for when he stated earlier that Arch would stay for 2 years at Texas to develop instead of entering the 2026 NFL draft.

This is sad if true. I remember when Sam Bradford got hurt against BYU and then they threw him out against Texas and it even hurt him even more. Probably in my lifetime of watching OU sports and as a Stoops fan, as an adult that was just an awful and selfish decision.

Never seen so many Texas fans down on their team … we tried to tell you Arch wasn’t it … nor is your OL… defense is elite .

It is kind of weird. They're really good. Arch doesn’t pass the eye test, but the defense is still elite.

These type of boards attract the worst in the fan bases and they’ve been oddly pessimistic to reasonable.
