Alabama has lost to scrub conference D 1A/FBS schools, but that's the technically highest division. No losses to D1AA/FCS schools.

I believe Troy became Div1A in 2002.

I thought they were 1-AA. They didn't join the Sun Belt until 2004

I think that was 1991.

We also beat USCe & Clemson while I was there.

We'd yet to play a single SEC game, so I'm saying that one doesn't count...

Shouldn't count.

it was 1992 that we lost to the Citadel, our first season in the SEC. It was also the first game of the season, and we followed up that embarrassing loss by kicking the crap out of S Carolina at their place the very next week 45-7.

Arkansas was undefeated all time in the SEC at 1-0

The page could be wrong, but Wikipedia says they joined Div1A in 2002.

Barry Lunney also led us to victory over #4 Tennessee in Knoxville that year. We tied Auburn in JHS and beat LSU 30-6 in Fayetteville. But that Citadel game is still embarrassing.

So SEC teams that lose to DIAA/FCS teams still beat Tennessee.

The best we can say about that year is that we fired our coach immediately after the loss. Err... I mean he resigned. Which is to say we fired him. Some losses you just need to show the coach the door right away.

So what we can say is Arkansas is the only SEC team to ever loose to an FSC (Div1AA) team ever....yikies that has to smart just a tad

What makes it even better is I was there when it happened and think I still have that tee-shirt.
