Mason, Robinson, and white fullback who's name I forgot already.
Those 3 were HUGE parts of that dominant running game and are all gone. Correct?
Makes me feel better about you guys next year for sure.
ETA:
#1 RB, #1 FB, and #1 OL

And Tre and CAP said Peyton Barber is the best RB on the team
Well then it's settled! Just like every offseason we hear that the team has never worked as hard or had a better group of leaders...
You can't say in one breath that the guy has had a better season than anyone in 100 years and then turn around and say "ho hum, no big deal" that he's gone. That's simply illogical. If those other guys were better than Tre they'd have taken PT away from him.

Except for the fact that we were redshirting Barber

We'll be able to run just fine.
I won't pretend losing Tre isn't a major loss, he's an awesome player and person. But I don't think there will be any significant drop in the running production we need next year.*
In all seriousness, when is the last time Auburn didn't have RB options? I doesn't happen too often.
*I say need because I expect we'll be a little more balanced, so we'll run a ton and put up big numbers, just not necessarily the astronomical numbers we saw this year.

I don't, hence my original question

If Barber is as good as you're saying, RSing him was retarded

So a guy who has never taken a snap in college football will instantly pick up the production of the rusher with the best year in SEC history.
Seems legit. And how the frick would his teammates know he is "better" without ever seeing him play in a game? Ooooohhh right..practice

You've formulated your opinion...so who cares?
Of course on a message board you're going to come accross folks who say we've got the pieces to fill right in. You disagree.
with that said, we won't miss a beat.

I think Quille is going to really stretch the field for y'all. He's a top 10 NFL Draft talent. Freak of nature.
However, losing by far your best OL, your stud FB, and your stud RB who is also emotional team leader is going to hurt.
Auburn has talent of course and should be fine, just won't have the dominance in running game they had this year or the precision.

Weren't you telling us like 2 days ago that he had maybe the best season EVER in SEC history for a RB? Yet him leaving is no big loss?
This was said about Dyer, too, when he was booted from the team following the 2011 season. For whatever reason, Auburn fans, myself included at times, always believe production at RB is a given. And in this offense, I think that can be somewhat true. But as you alluded to, one of the best seasons turned in by a RB in our league means at least some degree of drop off the next year. I think that's true even if Mason were to come back. That level of production isn't often achieved.

You'll miss his locker room presence more than anything.
You'll miss Robinson and the FB more than Tre on the field.

You've already had one thread deleted for spewing this baseless bullshite. How dense are you?

I suspect we will be throwing the ball a good bit more next year.

no, we will split carries early, just like we did this year and let a leader emerge
CAP, Barber and Roc (maybe if we don't redshirt him) will split early
