I suspect Oklahoma’s trap game will be Auburn . Wait and see ….
I suppose it could be ... but the fact that Jackson Arnold is coming back to town will likely have OU on point.
It would be pretty bad to get beat by the QB you ran off (assuming Arnold is still starting).
The game that concerns me is South Carolina. Historically... a road game for OU after Texas has been tricky. OU has a tendency to be flat.
Actually....getting embarrassed by South Carolina last season might help OU stay focused.

I don't think OU really has a trap game. They play the top 7 teams in the league minus Georgia. They are all hard. Usually I'd say a road game but at Tennessee, at South Carolina, and at Alabama are not trap games lol.
Exactly, when every SEC game is vs ranked or close to ranked there are no traps to be set. Then Michigan OOC game is no trap. That leaves @Temple as only other game that could be considered for a trap.

@ Florida. Been saying this for months.
I would not be shocked if we lost that game.

After last season I don't expect ANY Sooner opponent to be a trap game for OU.
I could go through the schedule and give a reason why every one of them won't be able to surprise Oklahoma in 2025 but let it suffice to say Venables will be out for blood versus ALL of them.

I do not consider UK a trap game now. Awhile ago abduletly, but now? Don't think it is one.

Arnold isn't going to lead Auburn to victory on the road in Norman. He won't even be able to lead them to victory at home. JA doesn't lead anybody, period. He's a wallflower with low confidence.
I like their talent level, but they don't have a QB, and that's going to kill their chances this year. We're going to see those NFL WRs they have throwing fits on the sidelines and on the field about the poor QB play.
