It wont hurt the big teams, it will hurt the mid-tier and smaller teams and the consolidation of power into a very few hands will continue. Bad for the sport. Very bad. They are killing the golden goose. Interest in every area is down except the Southeastern US. CFB will become even more a regional sport

Totally agree.

Coaches recruit a player and spend months, if not years, doing so.

Same coaches train a player, escort him through the transition from HS to college. Teach the player how to manage his time. Put the player on the training table, building up muscle and stamina, making sure the player goes to class. Possibly even burning a roster spot for the player to give him time to mature and develop.

Then BAM!!!! Right when said player is ready to contribute someone approaches him under the table and says, "transfer to Bama or Ohio State or Michigan or wherever" .... and all that investment is out then window in the blink of an eye.

It's a bad bad bad new rule if it passes and, if it does pass, University Presidents should meet with the NCAA and make no bones about disbanding the NCAA if they push this sort of bullshite on the entire association.
