Actually we had 21 which was sad and that is being addressed in the offseason with a pair of speed guys on the edge but the better question is how Miss States all world D front only managed 16 sacks.

MORE proven talent?

I had a feeling this was the actual case, but State's produced so much more on the field

How many of those sacks cane from LSUs line vs sacks from States? Which player is the caliber of Pernell McPhee

All of them really, but Drake Nevis is the anchor of our line and will wreck havoc in backfields this season

How will that change in the next five years?

Auburn will climb, LSU will fall. Florida and Alabama at the top.

I don't know... that is not how they are shown on the NCAA stat site.

Drake Nevis will likely be our best DT. He had flashes of greatness as a sophomore and Glenn Dorsey claimed Nevis would be better than him but Nevis came in camp overweight last year and seemed to lose his quickness.

He played in all 13 games in 2009 but never started. He had 50 tackles including 11 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 pass break ups and 3 QB hurries.

This year he came into camp in his best condition ever and is back down to 285 and looks ready to have a dominate senior year.

Yes, your whole line is like an All-SEC DE who will likely go high in the draft. Nice job, rantard.

Miami, Detroit, and Oakland have had more choice draft picks than any other team for at least ten years running...and while Miami will probably finally be decent, Detroit and Oakland will continue to suck.

Stars on Rivals stop meaning much of anything by the time the kids are 20. The best player on Alabama is either the 17th ranked RB in the nation (Ingram) or the 28th ranked DT who is playing DE (Dareus). So with all those five stars, the two best players are a three and a four star.

LSU, Alabama, and Florida all have at least two or three five star busts each and also at least two or three guys who were three stars at best who are cornerstones of the team.

The recruiting services are useful, but don't assume that they are even close to perfect.

Actually both of our DEs will be 2 of the fastest in the country and have all of the tools to be high draft picks in a few years. Inside, Nevis is very much proven, Pep is finally where he belongs at DT, and there are a lot of young high 4 and 5star guys that will be coming into their own this year as well. You're the definition of a rantard and yet you call someone out on it Is there anything better you can find to do to make you feel better about yourself than chasing LSU fans around on here and wish you had a team with as much talent and hardware on its shelves as LSU? Seriously, dude I've been watching your posts and its gone from sad to pathetic
