Again, you should understand Atlanta,
I've stayed in a downtown Atlanta hotel before within walking distance to the CFB hall of fame.
It's a nice city. But it's just not as nice as Dallas. The hotels, buildings and roads are just not at the same level

But the chick who called Atlanta a big pile of ghetto trash can kiss my arse.
That was me, asshat. I just returned home from a travel nursing assignment in ATL where I was stabbed and robbed while there, then spent almost a month longer in the hospital recuperating. That would put a bad taste in ANYONE'S mouth so frick you and the high horse you hobbled in on.

Which hospitals were you at for work and then as a patient?

In no particular order:
Mobile, Gulf SHores, Orange Beach area.
Chattanooga, love this town.
Huntsville area.
Anywhere in the Tennessee Mountains in the fall.
New Orleans
Charleston.
Cities outside the SEC:
Wilmington, NC
Va Beach.
General Sherman needs to make a run through Atlanta again.

Grady was both the assignment and where I was hospitalized. Never had anything even remotely close to that ever happen to me before and I pray to God I never do again.

Always wondered: what's the best small town in the SEC? I nominate Fairhope, Al

Yeah, that's nice. The area between Mobile and Appalachiacola make my area of the Texas Coast look really bad. I will say that I am jealous.

Looks like you picked the bad hospital in ATL. How on earth did this situation go down?

Most of y'all probably never heard of it, and it's not a college town, but Dahlonega, GA is the best town in the Southeast, and in America, for that matter. Beautiful mountain scenery, beautiful climate w/ 4 distinct seasons, the best BBQ in Georgia, and no rednecks (unlike most of rural North Georgia). Only 50 miles NE of Atlanta.

It actually is a college town. UNG is there and has almost 8-9K undergrads.
It is a gorgeous place. Blue Ridge, Ellijay, Dahlonega, Toccoa. Hiawassee and the other small North Georgia towns are all gorgeous. It's a beautiful part of the region.

Yeah, and Dallas is way greener too.

Charleston hands down
Historic section is awesome if you like history, good food, good bars and the occasional ghost story.
Unfortunately, the Historic section is only a relatively small section of Charleston.

Literally the only thing similar between the 2 cities is a large African American community. But I'm sure you didn't mean that was bad.

Man if that's all you've seen of the Charleston area you're missing out, the 5 beaches, boating, fishing, golfing, plantations, forts, tons more history, culinary scene across the entire metro area not just downtown, drinking at all the awesome waterfront or rooftop bars.
It goes on and on.
It goes on and on.

I've got a good spot with some fun folks to tailgate with when you're ready.
Where the lone guy sitting is where our tailgate will be.
I'm ready now. Though luckily, the season isn't too far away.
I'll definitely be on y'all's board more next month. I'll probably only get to hit a game or two. But depending on when Bama is kicking off, I'll probably hit as many tailgates as possible. Then watch the game at JJs or my place. If I'm still on nights, they'll be a lot of beers for breakfast on Saturdays this fall.

Agree to disagree I guess. I find it funny you seem to think Dallas is somehow not in the same discussion with Atlanta and Houston.
There is no arguing with them. Dallas people see where they live on the same level as places like NYC, LA, SF etc
