Coach Jordan was let go the day after the Bowl Game (actually before that considering is was made known that we were bringing in UHs RB coach). Trey stated that if we retained Jordan he would be for sure 100% that is true however, even after it was made clear that Jordan would not be retained he continued to wear A&M gear after games and to say that he was committed on interviews (conducted on Houston and San Antonio radio not by Aggie websites).

Bralon Addison has flat out stated "I am 100% solid to A&M, I am just having fun". They all want to play together and they all like Sumlin who has been recruiting them longer than anyone else anyway given his proximity.

Arky fans how did you like the fact that Trey cancelled his visit this week ... must make you really feel good about your chances huh?

That's the first I've heard he'd be cancelling his visit. Source?

Anyway, like I said earlier in this thread, him coming to Arkansas was a long shot. Don't get your panties in a twist.

I will amend the comment, he stated after the Army All American game that he may have to cancel due to family scheduling issues.

I believe the guys on TexAgs then confirmed it but I am not 100% on that.

I'm excited to have Lacy take the 1 spot in Bama's RB rotation. I don't know if he is a 30 carry back like Trent on the certain occassions, but 18-22, with Dee taking the rest should provide for a formidable ground game. Especially with situation backs like Folwer or Blake Sims...I'm eager to see what we can do.

As for my top RBs next year
Lacy - is darn good. Only negative is that he gets compared to Trent or Ingram.
Davis - He could be tops, waiting on how he comes back
Lattimore - could be best as well, but even say....90% Lattimore, he's better than most
LSU - I think they have a back that could fit into this spot..but will spread out the carries so..
OMac - not an every down back, but scares me when he has the ball. Good niche RB

Interested in watching:

Crowell - stay healthy and committed
C. Grant. - I really liked his speed when he was at Bama. Really dislike his speed at Auburn
Josey - tough knee injury.

(not mentioning any true frosh - too much speculation)

Considering he reached out to us to set up a visit and not the other way around it doesn't really bother me that much if he did cancel.

As of now, Auburn doesn't deserve to have a running back in the top 5 discussion, and we won't until we have a sure starter step up and play well. O-MAC is the oly possibilty ATM, but he isn't an every down back. Mike Blakely may eventually jump into the top 5, as many Auburn insiders and coaches are high on high, but not right now.

Plus, I just refuse to put a guy up there like LSU fans did with Spencer Ware during the off-season. He isn't even as good as Kenny Hilliard and has horrible running vision.
