Murray is a better QB than McCarron. McCarron is goo, don't get me wrong, but there are about 25 FBS QBs who could win a title at Bama right now.

bullshite. AJ is better. AJ makes far better decisions when the def brings pressure.

It's not all about stats. 2010 Cam >>> 2012 JFF. With that said, I think 2013 JFF pulls a 2010 Cam (sans the $$$$ trail).

After the year AJ just had, I really don't know what else he could possibly do to prove himself. But, some haters gonna still hate.

I will give you AJ makes better decisions but not far better. He has 2 pro RB's, 5 pro OL players and a top 1-3 defense to work with.

AJ's skill set is average. His knowledge and playmaking are fantastic. Murray given the same advantages and time would be a little better imo.

AJ is a great QB for Bama's "system with saban".

I don't want a trouble maker.

Last summer -- months before Manziel was dubbed "Johnny Football" as he took over college football -- Manziel was arrested after police say he was involved in a fight and produced a fake ID.

Aaron Murray finished the season with 3893 yards and 36 touchdowns. There were at least 3 (maybe 4) games this year he didn't even take a snap in the 4th quarter. He could have easily shattered the 4000 yard mark. He had two games with over 400 yards (Kentucky and Nebraska).

McCarron finished with only 2933 yards and 30 touchdowns. I can't say for certain, but I think Saban played him through all 4 quarters in all of the games. He only had 2 games where he broke 300 yards. The only real clutch situation where he impressed me was the end of the LSU game.

We get it, Manziel had one fricking great year.
I agree. One good year does not automatically make you the best in the SEC.

But in their case, one year is the entire history.

Sorry man but Manziel did not. A&M was playing well enough to win the national championship last year, but there has never been a player that put a team on their back for a championship like Cam outside of Herschel or Tebow in the SEC.

Well said. All those stats didn't win him a championship.

Haha, frick you. Manziel's the best QB right now but until he combines the stats with an undefeated season then what Cam did is more impressive. Like I said, I think JFF pulls a Cam this year and puts us on his back for a natty.

Aaron Murray is an above average QB but he has has struggled in the majority of games against really good defenses.

The other thing about his stats is that they are really skewed. UGA played a pretty soft schedule this year and I saw Murray in there in the 4th quarter in a lot of those blowout games.

Which ones? When we played the crappy cupcake teams, Murray didnt' even play in the 4th quarter. In one game I think he only played 1 series in the 2nd half.

Murray took a step forward this year, but he did have 19 turnovers in one season. He does pad his stats against also rans, but he showed progression this year.

He is still Tony Romo at this point, but he still has another year to prove otherwise.

For a Florida fan to say a UGA quarterback is above average means he's one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Secondly, show me any college quarterback that didn't show signs of struggle against good defenses. The definition of a good defense is that the opposing offense struggles.

Speaking of good defenses, Murray threw for 265 against Alabama, more than Johnny did.

You bastards piss me off so bad. Someone asks who the 3 best qbs in the SEC are, and you dare to mention Bo Wallace? Come down off the pedestal, Ole Miss fans.... Yeah I'm mad.

That's why we look at total package, complete body of work. With all the pass attempts and touchdowns, he remains #2 in all NCAA CFB in passer rating.

I wouldn't want him as my qb because he gives you the feeling that he is always going to fail when it matters most. UGA was the most talented team in the SEC this year and Murray was a 3rd year starter under the same offensive staff, but he failed. This was UGAs best shot to win and he came up short.

Winning record against Florida. The format in which your post was composed represented signs of anger

Backup qb Lemay played 4th quarter in FL ATL game.

LINK

Murray was on the bench midway through the 3rd quarter in the Vanderbilt game, even walk-on qb Parker Welch got to play in that 48-3 blowout.

LINK

In the Auburn game, Welch and Lemay split the 4th quarter while Murray was on the bench.

LINK

Against GA Southern, our walk-on Welch even got to throw a TD pass while Murray was on the bench.

LINK

He also sat out in the Ole Miss game after the 8:29 mark LINK and the GA Tech game where Welch and LeMay got more playing time. LINK LINK

Lemay also got some time in the Buffalo game after they sat down Murray. See previous link. Moron.
