Does this poll take into account outgoing portal players as well?

This does appear to be true. Last season LSU had the #1 ranked transfer class and went 7-6. Four of the top ten ranked classes didn’t qualify to make a bowl game. Meanwhile Inidiana had the 35th ranked transfer class.

LSU has had the number one ranked portal class now for 2 years in a row. Will be interesting to see what they do with it.

You can read the numbers however you want with whatever story you’re trying to tell though. 3 of the top 4 were also the final 4 teams to end the year. That’s pretty significant.
