UGA didn't recruit well enough to needs, so probably not.
I think anyone who has followed the program would probably say it's kind of a mixed bag. They haven't recruited as well as they should've in the trenches. But (and I hate for this to sound like an excuse...which is what "but" implies) there really has been a ridiculous string of injuries/fails on the OL that has numerous times bit UGA in the asp. Harmon, Sturdivant, and Benedict are 3 from this year alone.

However, that falls on no one else but the coaching staff, and Richt IS the leader/boss/CEO/ultimate decision maker.
Agreed.
And he should've done a better job recruiting at OL and DL.

He has underachieved the last 2 years. Prior to that he had won 10+ games in 6 out of 7 years. Why would they fire him over this?
Never getting there. It's nice to have 10 win seasons but one of the main reasons it is nice, is that you know if you get a few of those, you will be at least playing for the championship. In Richt's case, he has only gotten close to playing for the national championship a few times but never gotten there. The talent he has recruited has been rediculous...which makes never playing for the crystal trophy, equally rediculous.

You can say what you want to say, but the UF's, AU's, and UA's of the SEC have proven they have the nuts to not only make a change, but have the nuts not to wait until it's too late.
Not sure anyone would say that about yall.

All I'm saying is he underachieves, severely
In Richt's 10 years, I would say he only underachieved in 4 of them according to realistic expectations from people who have some clue what they're talking about. 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Yes, I know that 3 of those years are the last 3. But honestly when could you have fired him? After 2008? We still won 10 games and finished #10 in the country. 2009? This was a subpar year for sure, but I don't think it warranted a firing. 2010? This is the only case anybody has for Richt being fired. People saying he should've been fired "years ago" are just stupid. This offseason was the first time a legitimate case could be made for him being fired. However, looking at the candidiates out there I honestly don't know if we could've gotten anyone better. In addition, our new AD wasn't going to make his first major act of business firing Richt, and our vaunted top 5 recruiting class would've never happened.
With that said, it's 10 wins/the east or bust this year IMO.

Meh.
Richt had a 13-1 SECC season. Florida won two MNC's with a one loss season. LSU won one with a one loss season, and one with a two loss season.
Richt got the shatty end of the draw in '02 and had two undefeated teams ahead of him.
I think it's probably pretty fair to let him have this season at least.
But again, I could forward your thoughts to Greg McGarity if you'd like?

If we have another losing season then we waited too long. If we are reasonably successful and bounce back this year then we were wise to stick with the man. Catch-22 (and :inb4Auburncheats,paidCam,Chizisadowngrade,etc.: )

This is one thing that people will never concede/understand and it pisses me off. The biggest thing separating Richt, Miles, and Meyer was that in Richt's best year there were 2 undefeateds ahead of us while in both of Meyers NC years and in Miles' there weren't. Simple as that. If OSU or Miami had a loss in 2002 we have a NC and all this talk is irrelevant.

What's reasonably successful? SECCG appearance?

2004, 2008, and 2010.
Anyone outside the realm of CFB message board dumbassery knew UGA was about an 8 - 9 win team in '06 and '09.

Wait, give me a minute and I'll also think of something only slightly related to the topic at hand but really inflammatory to the fanbase on the defensive so that I can feel... what am i supposed to feel by doing this?
