Zach Mettenberger has got to be on the list. He shocked everyone this year.

nick marshall surprised me. he's been a great game manager for Auburn. and when i say game manager it's meant as a compliment. especially the 2nd half of the year.

In the NFL mock drafts I've been browsing, I'm seeing Ealy's name coming up in the mock 1st round's quite often, but not Sam's.

Mike Davis was a VERY highly rated running back recruit out of high school, right?

I really don't see him as being much of a "surprise".

Same thing applies to Greg Robinson.

Surprise player? Jadaveon Clowney has to be on the list.

Who knew he'd so TOTALLY mail it in saving himself for the NFL Draft?

De'Runnya Wilson - MSU

Probably not top 10, but I think a top 10 surprising freshman player. He's going to have big numbers next year.

Which is why alabama always surprises by losing games every year to teams they out talent at virtually every position.

How can that be true Randy? LSU has better QB, best WRs in the nation, CBU and on and on...oh, and Hill.

Looks like your entire defense mailed it in to Atlanta.

That 5-Star kicker of yours didn't surprise anybody. For all Bama's arrogance about how they can sign any recruit they want, they wasted a scholarship on a kicker that made 57% of his FG's in a 4 year career.
